It's melodramatic but Shinkai has such a talent for making his drama as emotionally impactful as it is exaggerated.

I never saw the part after the confession.

I didn’t really cry at the end of the movie, but it was a beautiful ending , and a perfect one too. Just perfect for me. The fact that she , Yak something, also appears in my all time favorite Kimi No NaWa, the teacher of Mitsuha, is even better. Am I sad they didn’t get together? Kinda lol.

The definition of a true Masterpiece. Always got tears on my eyes when I watch this movie. My wife is 7y older than me, sometimes I felt like this boy. We are now 21 years together, I met her when she was 25 and I was 18. Thank God she bet on my potential and married me :)
