Many thanks Graham for enjoying my rendition of this Cowsills hit song.
lovely melody
One of my favorites and I'm glad you enjoyed this also. Many thanks.
This is great, but it’s the theme from THE THIRD MAN, not THE THIN MAN. Two totally different (though both enjoyable films).
Why thanks for the correction. And glad you enjoyed this anyway.
your work it’s so wonderful! grettings from brazil😁🇧🇷
Thank you so much from Brazil. I hope you find some more of your favorite songs.
fantastic!!!
Glad you like this ! Thanks so much !
@@55lincoln can you touch the music “sweet caroline” or “can’t help falling in love”? please, sorry for the inconvenience but there are my favorite songs🙃
@@ceciv18 I recorded and uploaded Sweet Caroline in my Stardustpiano channel. It's in there, you can fine it easily. And, thanks again.
Tapestry was a favorite of my parents. My sisters and I definitely liked the album along with about everybody else. As I remember every song was a winner on it.
That album was very popular and I think increased the notoriety of Carole King and even her husband at the time James Taylor. So glad you enjoyed my rendition of this song Andy and thanks.
This reminded me that it has been to long since I have seen the movie. The one with Irene dunne in it.
Andy, I never say the movie with Irene Dunne in it. I will have to look that one up. I remember Deborah Kerr more. Thanks for listening my rendition of this song.
@@55lincoln Warren I think it was Deborah Kerr now that you mentioned it.
@@andyZ3500s Yes, Deborah Kerr and Yul Brenner. Fantastic movie and music.
@@55lincoln that's the one.
@@andyZ3500s Yes, right. Saw that movie as a kid. Very impressed.
Lovely! I wanted to sing along, "Once I had a secret love."
Yes, that was a great classic song by Doris Day. Glad you enjoyed it. Many thanks.
That was nice.
So glad you enjoyed this Andy. Many thanks to you.
Bravo!❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed my rendition of this famous movie song. Thank you so much.

Nossa adoro essa música, é linda. Sua versão ficou linda.
I am so grateful you enjoyed this classic song from Rogers & Hammerstein. Thank you very much.
I remember the Carpenters also cover this
Yes, they did and The Carpenters will always be favorites of mine. Thanks so much for enjoying my rendition of that popular song.
@@55lincoln I still love the carpenter to this day. Thanks for sharing this
I still listen to The Carpenters. What great music they provided. Heart sinks when I think of Karen. Thanks for listening to my version of There's a Kind of Hush.
I sure love your playing style 55lincoln ❤
Thank you Tom. My five years of piano lessons must have paid off.
Bing & the Andrew Sisters made that famous. Thanks for playing this for us.❤
They sure did ! Jimmy Buffet's version mirrors Bing's very closely. Love both. Thanks Tom.
Like your rendition of a Holiday favorite. Thanks for sharing your talent.❤
Tom, this is my all time favorite Christmas hymn. So grateful you enjoyed this. Thanks so much.
@@55lincoln You’re very welcome. It is as you say a hymn. It depicts the very meaning of Christmas for believers in Christ’s birth.
@@TomSpeaks-vw1zpYes, no it's not a Christmas carole, but a hymn. Thank you !
How did you learn to play this beautifully?🥹🥹🔥🔥
I learned how to play many songs by ear. Thankfully, I still have a good memory. Many thanks. I'm so glad you enjoyed this.
WOWOOWOW
So glad you enjoyed this classic Christmas song. Many thanks to you mash.
A big hit for Perry Como❤ Bing Crosby made a few bucks off it also. 😂 Then there’s your soon to be popular version.❤ Thanks 55
One of my favorite Christmas songs. Great melody and great lyrics. Glad you like. Many thanks !
Absolutely. About the only Christmas song that scrapes a nerve is The 12 Days of Christmas. A vocal version. Maybe it’s because I’m old.😂
@@TomSpeaks-vw1zp Yeah, that song gets real old. How 'bout I wanna hippopatumus for Christmas. puke.
What a beautiful world we would have if our leaders made music instead of war.
Yes, making war or divisiveness in politics.
A sweet song from the Music Man.❤
A song written during WWII. And probably preformed by every artist and big band of the time.
A great song written by Henry Mancini ❤
Mancini was a great composer writing many movie themes. This one is also a favorite. Thanks Tom.
@@55lincoln Yes, when I got my first expensive stereo, Mancini’s Pink Panther was the first cd I chose. Wow, what a great sound coming thru those 6 speakers. Precious memories.
@@TomSpeaks-vw1zp That is such a cool theme song. Another Mancini favorite of mine.
Old Hoagy. ❤
Another song I always liked. Thanks for liking this.
@@55lincoln I like them all 55lincoln. It’s difficult having a favorite. All the artists of the times had their own style & sound. And they were professionals of the highest standards. Like I said, I liked them all.
@@TomSpeaks-vw1zp I know its hard to have a favorite. Like you, I like so many different songs young and old. Sometimes the hardest part is listening to a song and memorizing it so I can record it. Harder than it sounds.
@@55lincoln It helps in keeping you young. The future is uncertain, but your memories will always be yours to cherish and share.
@@TomSpeaks-vw1zp I totally agree. It keeps me young and alert and reminds me of the time when I first heard some of these songs.
A Jolson standard❤
Yes, some of my songs go way way back. Thanks Tom for enjoying.
@@55lincoln You're welcome. I go way back myself. You cant go wrong playing the old standards.
@@TomSpeaks-vw1zp My Dad had many records of the older songs so I got attached to them. Again, glad you like these also Tom. Many thanks.
@@55lincoln You're very welcome. Having grown up during the war years, ( no not the Civil War.) all the old timers were steeped into my young mind. Lots of people don't know but Jolson entertained the troops at his expense long before Bob Hope. And many big Hollywood stars entered the military. Big Bands helped with keeping morale positive. I'm blessed to have had that positive upbringing. God, family, country, friends, teachers, music, & cars have influenced my life greatly. At 82 I can say I've experenced the best of the best. From the content I've heard & seen from your channels, it's obvious your life has been blessed also. Thanks 55lincoln for giving back.❤
@@TomSpeaks-vw1zp I knew about Al Jolson before it was taboo to use black face. But, what a talent he was. And also how the Hollywood stars gave up their time to help the young men going to war with the Hollywood canteen and bonus drives. The contribution that the big bands gave to lift morale became great American Standards that are still enjoyed today. I too have had great influences the same as you with family, friends, music, teachers and of course cars. I have been blessed indeed. Thank you Tom for enjoying both my RUclips channels.
Another great song that Jimmy Durante sang with so much feeling. ❤
Another song I really like so much. Glad you liked this also Tom and thanks.
I had the privilege to see Jimmy Durante "in person." He sat on the edge of the stage and sang this song
Nobody could sing this one like Satchmo. I love your style.
Very true and also I like that interlude in the middle of that recording. Thanks so much Tom for liking my style. It means a lot.
Paul Robeson sang that with such deep feeling. Showboat was one of my favorites. Your piano rendition is great.
I always liked the way Paul sang that song. And, one of my favorite songs from Showboat also. Glad you enjoyed the way I played it. Thanks very much.
