Vickers VC10 Fast Taxi Bruntingthorpe 2019

This turned out to be the very last VC10 fast taxi at Bruntingthorpe, and I was lucky enough to get a seat on it.
A crying shame that the Cold War Jets days at Bruntingthorpe are now long gone. It really was one of a kind.
The windows are crap but shut your eyes and enjoy the noise.

You couldn't open the window at a high altitude. The cabin pressure would prevent you pulling it open, it would keep it pressed shut.

Was on TU -154 Aeroflot had to get a bus out to it at Sheremetyevo early morning to Irkutsk flight. Done it a few times in the early 2000's, few hairy moments here and there but I lived to tell the tale..nice video, thanks for posting.

Tu 154 is so cool I wonder what triggers "not ready for takeoff" light just before landing
I'm the noobiest noob when it comes to soviet airliners, but I'm pretty sure it comes on right after touchdown to indicate that the flaps and slats aren't in takeoff config. I just downloaded the Felis Tu 154 and installed X-Plane 11 again to check it out. Very different to what I'm used to in Boeing's and Airbusses.

The amount of words being conversed before landing equals to how it would have been in an A350 cockpit with engine fire and windshear.

Southampton and it's surrounding areas is such an incredible place. Southampton is such a green city and the countryside phenomenal. One of the best parts of England to live. There's a few parts of Hampshire which are really quite unpleasant, such as Gosport, Portsmouth, Havant etc, but anywhere in the SO post code is phenomenal. Thanks for sharing this. Dave, Ohio, USA
