cant you stay in one lane without crossing yellow lines ?
@jerryeinstandig7996 i could but it's less fun that way. This is called a race line.
@@t1d_bikeguy420 ok so the public road is your own racetrack ? and yellow lines are low traction spots to avoid
@jerryeinstandig7996 lmao. This is no where close to track day or race pace. This is 60-70% fun run. And yes. We go up here where there's super low traffic for this exact reason. Also, there's ways to cross the paint with the bike upright or mostly upright and not worry about traction. Lastly the tires were running (michelin power gp2) are really smooth when they break traction and hook back up well. A little wiggle isn't a big deal.
@@t1d_bikeguy420 carry on lad
Those look like nice roads!
@adrenalinejunkie301 it's a fun little stretch. Road quality could be better but the big hills and steep drops make for some fun airtime with the right speed and enough bravery.
Enjoy your ride, and keep safety 😊
@@jarvisrider always friend
That’s section on the road usually offers lots of traction.
@LoosenutFZ agreed. It was some small fine black gravel too. Didn't even see it.
So I went closer to the yellow line on that turn. That’s why I didn’t hit the gravel
@@chrisbergmann8978 i didn't even see it before I hit it.

@dwego5077 thanks man. It's an insta go3 and I'm loving it so far.

@@LoosenutFZ ended up getting what I needed at the ace off 64. Hand shifting down to 2nd to ride all the way there was fun with that exposed front sprocket 😬
Man this video is fire! Not sure whats best the camera angles, the riding, those leathers or the sound of the bike? haha. All pretty badass! Would be so dope to ride and sound and look like you man keep it up! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thanks so much man! Believe it or not the exhaust was damaged horribly in a crash at road atlanta earlier this season. I attempted to repair it but if you look closely you can see some fiberglass flapping inside from where I didn't do a great job. The inner sleeve was still bent unfortunately and I was unable to straighten it completely. The leathers are Matt Racing. Check them out. They do a pretty good buy one get one deal where you get to keep the first all black suit and they send your custom color one all for like 1500 ish depending on options. I appreciate the compliments more than you know man. I'm still a work in progress so to read that means more than you know. Wishing you an awesome Christmas Bro!
Nice camera angle. Word of advice, you seem to be the only rider in your group crossing the double yellow constantly. Your luck will run out eventually. I think you're skilled enough to make these turns without veering into oncoming traffic.
@@organichotdog3807 we only cross where we can see. I appreciate the advice.
Where is the track?
@@JackRobertsUK barber motorspprts park in leeds Alabama USA
Riding past your skill level. Probably need to do a few track days to work up your confidence before going back out on backroads. You're going to get hurt riding like that. $0.02.
@aperlia6603 lmao. I race this bike at the club level and run in A group at track days. This is a 2 up ride and is intentionally slow. Try reading the description and checking the channel first. Just my $0.02
@t1d_bikeguy420 then why are you cutting over the mustard like that? 😆 seems silly for a veteran like yourself.
@aperlia6603 I've got the visibility and it's fun? Don't need another reason. This is the line I prefer. Feels great.
Riding like this is fun. But the unseen dangers are there. Animals, cars pulling out, blind curves. I suggest roads with more visibility.
@12161otherworldly thankfully we've been running this route the last 5 years so there isn't a single curve I'm unfamiliar with. It takes time to be this comfortable with some areas that lack visibility. I'll also mention our familiarity with the road allows us to know where the pull outs/offs are that aren't immediately visible a ways off. The animals thing is just a risk we all take. Thankfully this is about 60-70% of the full pace I'm comfortable with and on this ride I don't think I used more than about 5-10% of my avaliable braking pressure. And obviously the outside pass with limited visibility here was rushed. But that's why I personally didn't make it. I can't ride for everyone else. Once you put the helmet on every decision you make is your own.
@t1d_bikeguy420 It's clear to me your a seasoned rider. As a x- seasoned rider myself I hope you can understand my fear. I don't know what state your video was filmed in or what road. But I've riden in the northeast and Pacific Northwest, Florida, L.A. Oregon and Nevada. Central Oregon and Nevada being the best riding I've ever done. Safe, open roads with high visibility on both sides. High top end speeds on the straightaways and long bending curved roads for scraping the knee. I'm simply concerned for your safety. I hope you ride safely for as long as you choose to ride. 🤙
@12161otherworldly i could tell immediately by your response you've been doing this a while. I will say I do prefer the more technical tight stuff as opposed to the long sweepers but I can see the appeal. I don't like disclosing locations we ride for obvious reasons. Thankfully much of the group is fortunate enough to ride on track often during the warm season and a few of us even race. This is the fun weekend jaunt to clear the brain.
No comment 🙊🙉🙈
@@JohnCunningham-sy5ug lol. A little rushed. Thankfully with all the down trees we could see he was gonna be clear.

@@knutarvidhansen3300 I don't see you riding anything.
@@t1d_bikeguy420 Still stressed, calm down my friend. Your bike has probably 4 times more power than mine, I have a Kawasaki W650 (dull bike) from 1999 with 285oookm on odometer, plus 8 other bikes. I cant compete with you in speed nor accelleration. I am 69 years old with driving licence since 1999. In your video I can see that your banking angle is mostly 35 degree, maybe up close to 40. My bike starts to eat metal from 44 degrees, and a lot has gone so far (even leaning outside). Drive safe, and if u want to visit me in Norway, you are hereby welcomed.
@knutarvidhansen3300 modern sports bikes can achieve nearly 55 degrees of lean. It's wild. And that's just factory models. Gp riders on factory gp bikes can see as much as 63 degrees without dragging hard parts. We're no where near the limit up here. Knees don't go down on public roads is our rule.
