    First…. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. I appreciate people like you who take time to help all of us figure out what’s the best product - service etc… so thank you, sincerely. Your video is 2 years old, and you may do things differently now, but here’s my experience with your video: I hope you’ll kindly accept my feedback… this is the first time I watched any of your videos… Could I recommend that you put your voice on both channels so it comes through both ears…. Especially because you’re center frame in this video and alone (unlike if two people are in the frame, one left and one right and you hear their respective voice coming out of the speaker that represents the side of frame where they are… The way you recorded this makes it disorienting to have your voice come out of the left channel only. It actually makes it sound like there’s a problem with the sound… Just a friendly tip… and the music choice of this video makes it feel even worse because it’s the type of music that fades in and out with the rhythm… and I get it, but that too adds to the felling that there’s something wrong with your sound… because the music is coming out of only the right channel… Thanks again for the video though. Lots of good information.

    I guess it's just very different work culture in Europe. Coming from Finland, 4 weeks at a time during summer is pretty much normal, every year, all employees. All the things stated here are routine for people. I've never had any issues with it as employee, supervisor or as consultant in IT during my career of 20 years. Everyone always has an backup person for everything and teams handle division of work during vacation as routine stuff, it's not really even something that requires much extra attention outside of agreeing the specific timetables for the vacations so there is person available for any given situation or emergency. Visiting US around October or November this year, using part of my vacation then.

    • @ChristineWong

      Yeah, my role is very seasonal with September through December being the busiest days and since we all work with our own clients (one to many relationship for consultant to client and in my current role, only one consultant per client), finding coverage for our clients is big, especially September through December!

      @@subhodeepbasak9092 I say any experience vs. none at all right out of your masters is really good, especially if it’s a technical consultant role. It will only add to your experience, never detract. I will also say that even when you are in the role, you can still look for other jobs that are more in line with what you’re looking for, so it’s not a death sentence! It’s all about how to tailor your experiences to the roles. My husband is a technical consultant yet he codes and does programming, so it only adds!

    Is this role mostly a remote position or onsite?

    • @ChristineWong

      It honestly depends on the company! I’ve seen remote, onsite or hybrid!

      @@ChristineWong gotcha! So the remote positions in particular, have you seen them more in tech or consulting companies?

    • @ChristineWong
      @ChristineWong 2 месяца назад

      @Officialyasirbadawi for consulting companies, it depends on the clients. And for tech, I’ve seen the spectrum. You’ll have to look at both but you can guarantee knowing with tech before starting the job while consulting firms all differ in the agreement with clients. You would have a higher chance actually traveling to the client than to the office itself.

      @@Officialyasirbadawi unacceptable. Mostly because of the data compliance and security issues that would imply when working with client data.
