As a follow up from last week's video, I wanted to go over all the other paycheck tax deductions you can take! I'm by no means a tax or finance professional, so I would recommend you to make your own research, but I wanted to share at least what I've done and how (and why) I best optimized it! Normalizing talking about your own personal finances so everyone can learn! I'm glad I surround myself by friends who are passionate about personal finances, so spreading the love to everyone else who may be curious or interested!

LIVING ROOM RENOVATIONS: NYC Condo Popcorn Ceilings, Smart Recessed & Pendant Lighting with Dimmers

In just 5 days, our living room is already done! We had popcorn ceilings in all rooms, but we unfortunately did not renovate before we moved in, so it took us a while to prepare for this since we literally had to move out all (most) of our furniture out of the living room to do this. To be exact, they dropped our ceilings by 3 inches, essentially hiding our popcorn ceilings, inserted electrical...

How to Get a Job in Technology Consulting ruclips.net/p/PLibY-3NAtJvEjbuvbqswWm55yH2a01LKT Generally, you just need to be a problem solver, so you don’t need any real qualifications other than to show that you have client facing skills and can solve technical problems. Technical skills can be taught and trained, so they really try to see if you do learn and adapt quickly with technical skills. If you have years of experience, it may be specific to areas role or area vs a undergraduate or graduate program, so they may ask for experience or skills on a specific area but it can be possible if you network and train.

It is on maximizing tax deductions while maximizing 401K! Anything considered supplemental income counts so tips also count as well. Wanted to note that at the end of the day as now I realize there may be confusion, total income is still total income when filing taxes, so bonus vs salary will end up being treated the same, but since bonus is supplemental income, taxes are withheld more. As I mentioned earlier in the video, the goal is to have 0 in your tax return, so think about how much money you saved if you put it towards something that actually compounds or just more usable cash in your pocket instead of through a tax return!

You "thinking" renting is better is fine. Your life, your choice. But that's not the same as renting being better financially. Buying is an investment and all investments involve a time period. Buying a 12 month CD is a bad investment if you plan to cash it in before the 12 months and suffer a high penalty. Investments also are never guaranteed. Real estate is pretty well understood, long track record and considered a very safe investment. But a person can still screw that up. Using conservative estimates for inflation and past history and 30 to 40 years a person can expect to hold real estate assets buying one home will put you about $1.5 million ahead. That kind of result is hard to debate against. If you don't like math you can use history. There have been landlords and renters for about 10,000 of human history. To say renting is better is saying millions of landlords got it wrong. Landlords didn't really get wealthy while renters struggled. That would be a lot of really dumb people. If you don't like math or history you can use the endless videos on YT of people over 65 years-old struggling to make rent. Mostly life long renters who thought renting was cheaper and now blaming everyone else for "insane rent prices". Plenty of people tried to tell them throughout their life "rents go up". If you don't like math or history or old people videos you can use social media echo chambers to tell you exactly what you want to hear...renting is better. I retired 22 years ago at 45 and have funded my retirement with real estate investing. Mostly slow flipping houses. I have had to rent houses while waiting for the market to improve. I never felt bad raising rent when the market pushes rent up, or evicting a renter for not paying. That was the deal and they understood the deal going in. I've been a renter too. It sucks. It's a sucky deal. But there are options. #1 shared rental. Sucks living with others, but being poor sucks more. #2 shared ownership. My first property I bought with 2 other guys, Army Vets like me. We were going to college on the GI Bill and though renting was stupid so we pooled our money and bought a large dump of a house far off campus. We lived there, crammed as many student renters in too and fixed it up over the 3.5 years we owned it. Sold for a nice profit which we all used to buy our own places. You can't afford a $600k place? How about $200k with 2 other people?

There a lot of "buying" that doesn't make it into the data. A Quit Claim Deed is recorded by a county clerk but exchanged values is not recorded. Almost all real estate data comes from traditional deals. Some homes are inherited. Some owner financing. Some are LLCs where several people buy together. A $800k house is only $267k when you have 2 other people willing to share the house with you. For most people born in the US sharing a house is completely unacceptable. But for people coming from other countries its no big deal. We also have the growing wealth or income gap. People love to complain about the gap but the reality is there are more people getting on the high side of that too. It's not just "all" young people will never be able to own a home. Some do well for themselves. It has always been getting harder to own. The best time to buy in Manhattan was 1626. Probably cheaper before that, but no records. But ever since 1626 it's gotten harder to buy. The world population in 1626 was about 500 million and today it's about 8 billion while the size of Manhattan has stayed the same. More buyers = higher values.

I'm hoping to use this series to compile stories of my life where I want to get your opinions and thoughts but at the same time share stories with you all because truthfully, don't we all like watching and listening to tea on the Internet? Was this shocking? To this day, I cannot believe this happened to me because I'm a very by-the-book and always try to follow the rules or laws, so you can imagine how jarring this experience was for me. However, it didn't change my attitude or make me afraid of change or doing/starting something new - like this RUclips channel! Let me know in the comments any cool yet "risky" things you've done that could have gotten you in trouble!

@@Destinyprojects4 I have boarding clients (of the same household) in one room and if I have another household, they take the other! Our cats stay in the living room. The video of course is not going to show the workspace area that often because I’m not allowed to and it wouldn’t make sense to show people working if the point is to give you a tour. Plus, that risks showing what’s on their screens. Just because people aren’t on a computer doesn’t mean they aren’t working. It could be with a client or colleagues having an in person meeting.
