Did you know there are 4 types of shifter location/ bolt pattern for R154? It is important to know, Toyota changed the bolt pattern of the shifter hat when they released the newer JZX110/100 gearboxes & that they are not compatible with early Supra/Soarer or JZX90 R154. There are also R150/R151 2WD hilux boxes available that may have a suitable shifter.

@@jayparkin3849 Gday, thanks! I don’t think so. Mainly because both my turbos are already stock location & the SYMS headers would be tricky to modify to run rotated style. I could do it on the blue car, but it’s a lot of expense for not a great deal of additional performance as I’m Only going to run a 5 speed (for now) & the Blouch turbo can support enough power to destroy the 5mt. I have just got a new welder & am teaching myself to tug weld. So I could hopefully do some of the fab in the future. But it’s not really a priority atm. Plus I prefer a smaller turbo & great response, over something bigger & high horsepower.

Borgwarner efr series is the shit, done 2.5, 2.35 and 2l setups and they spool like crazy, good mates car runs a 7670 and is 30psi slightly before 4k. Easy to do a plumb back, if you're half decent at welding it isn't too much money to make a setup, pulsar wastegates are also really good and aren't too much money.

Only thing newer would be a G series, or something by BW or precision (or based of that newer tech ie Grimmspeed TD05 frame with newer compressor/ turbine tech). What he means is the td05-18 or 20 g turbos for Subaru 2 liter needs to be 7cm turbine housing on the hot side. For daily driving on a ej 20 the tdo5h 18 is a favorite, I’d recommend that when going to a 20 g to step up the exhaust side to the 8cm tdo5 20g I believe that the td06 20g is said to be the best turbo for the ej25 exploiting all the potential out of the motor. Even Subaru regretted not using the tdo6 20g. 400 wheel torque and 400 wheel horse power. I have a 100mm bore 2.58 liter sti and the td06 20g is perfect, practically bolt on, I had all the headers and a built motor with stock turbo for break in then quickly swapped turbos and the difference was unbielievable 3rd gear would start spinning like a gymkhana car, thus checking off the list of the dream daily driver. Must do drifts box Must get me to work to pay for my mods on my car box And must make and utilize all the turbo noises not just sound good,
