The sound of water on the rocks 🪨 is like no other …. ,
This is heaven sent to me , I go to Finland 🇫🇮 3 times a year to experience exactly this. Kiitos for sharing. Magical magical magical. I also have a traditional Finnish sauna in back yard. 🪵 🔥 of course. Moi moi.
I’d love a sauna in my back yard! One day!
I had bad planter, and I switched, headfirst in barefoot, vivobarefoot shoes, planters gone!
Do you throw away the initial two jars?
Yes as the starter is too young at this point to make anything. Make sure you don’t throw it down the sink as it could clog it!

Been looking for a version viltong video thanks (this is white tail, right)
@@4.23.21 enjoy. It’s actually fallow but it works just as well for me with Roe deer which is similar to White Tail.
The hot water bottle in a ice box is genius 🎉
We can thank my wife for that one! 😀
Nice walk. A map showing your route would be helpful.
Thank you! Yes I agree with you. Too late to add it now though unfortunately. On the to do list for next time.
How much time it will take to proper fermentation ?!
Ive had my addis for almost a year now and theres something I find a bit odd. Why is the top of the shoe shaped upward? If om just standing my toes arent actually touching the ground because of this and I find this odd in a barefoot shoe. Is it just me?
I noticed exactly the same thing!
This is brilliant! The first bread I made was SO me I love this!! NEVER GIVE UP
I’m at the stage where I’ve completed 8 weeks in alcohol and am ready to start water extraction. As this is for friends with aliments, I would like to slow the water extraction down, as you suggested for a day or so. What temperature would you recommend for a slow water extraction. Any other tips would be appreciated. Many thanks
Great Video Tutorial I’m just following and making some now.
not sure I get the sting bit
How days story
Very nice presentation on the birch polypore. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This music 🙉🙉🙉
Can i use it for tea without drying it first?
You sure can!
@liveandgrow Seemed logical, but you never know. Thank you!
It’s true that your cadence will increase when wearing barefoot shoes. When I first started wearing barefoot shoes I kept my long stride and end up doing damage to my Achilles which took a few months to heal. So shorter strides is better and is certainly more natural to avoid injury. 18 months into my barefoot journey and my feet feel stronger than ever. I also had plantar fasciitis and it completely went away after the first couple of months.
I do like the taste. Fresh also. Get some sweet impressions. I believe it’s from the complex sugar compounds in it.
I’ve never got the sweetness if I’m honest but I am sitting here with a mug right now as I’ve got a bit of a sniffle! My youngest loves the taste - the eldest not so much!
Thanks - I will look for this
Thanks for watching! 🌿 Have you ever used Birch Polypore or any other medicinal mushrooms? Let me know in the comments! 👇
I found them yesterday and made tea from it today and drank it against stomach problems
I found some growing on a live and dead tree in a forest in south central Pennsylvania last week. I was able to grab three really good ones. I will be making my first tea tonight with a hint of ginger and garlic.
I just ate some penis envy 🍄
A gombaa tönkje is ehető?
You can eat it but it’s quite fibrous especially with older mushrooms. I tend to leave it out of a dish unless chopped up very finely.
@@liveandgrow köszönöm a választ! Még egyet hagy kérdezzek itt felém elég sok a szürkéslila pereszke amire azt mondják hogy nincs olyan finom mint a lila pereszke, neked mi a véleményed?
in german it’s called a stone mushroom (steinpilz)
You cut them at the at the root so they can grow back at the same spot next year, you dipshit! You ought to be locked up.
Uhh porcini?
Yes it is aka Porcini or King Bolete
In my language call this mashroom dubák
Is this what Colin Kaepernick is doing now?
Thank you
Oh but I will
I had it yesterday as tea and got high are they psychodelic?😮
What else was in the tea!? 😀 Absolutely not psychedelic. My kids drink a fair amount of Birch Polypore tea as well as myself.
@liveandgrow thanks for reply! I boiled a whole mushroom aprox 15cm in size in 250ml of water. I'm not sure if I haven't made it too strong. I boiled it for 2-3h on low heat. One tablespoon of this tea and I honestly feel high. There was nothing else in it. And I'm confident I have the right mushroom. It could be just me and how I'm responding. My sister in law tried and it did not have any effect on her.
@@roszkubI had a similar experience, wouldn’t say that I felt high but definitely a strong sense of elation after having some.
Every mushroom gathering instruction video is like "this mushroom is safe and edible, but THIS mushroom that looks 99.999999999999% the same as the edible one, is highly poisonous and will kill you in the most horrific way ever imaginable by the human mind."
Don’t forget some are just “this will kill you, there is nothing good that looks like it!” 😀 If you want to take a look at a really interesting mushroom which doesn’t really have any close lookalikes, check out one of my old Birch Polypore videos.
Is it just bitter? No poison or stomach ache?
To be honest I’ve never tried eating them myself but I understand that they are just extremely bitter and will ruin a dish if you include them. As far as I’m aware they don’t contain any poison, so they will offend your senses but not take you down. I can’t verify that from any personal experience though!
that looks so similar to the edible one
@@rinvfx it does. When I came across them, I got excited for a moment until I took a closer look. About 30 meters away I did find one Penny Bun/Porcini…so all was not lost! 😀
looks like physco shrooms
I hate the non colorful poisonous mushrooms. At least the colorful ones has the decency to warn other of it's poison.
Thats a beautiful forest. I seriously wanna visit that
That part of the forest is wonderful. The only downside in the summer is the number of mosquitoes. It’s insane!
It looks to be the pnw (pacific north west) maybe Washington or Portland oregon area?
@@That1neGoober it’s actually in Central Finland! I’m lucky enough to visit every year.
At least it (probably) doesn't make you useless even for organ transplantation
No, it is just bitter. Bitter as hell, you won't feel your tongue for the next few days and have a fun time on the toilet. It looks very simillar to cep (the best shroom to get), chestnuts mushrooms (which can be heavily radiated dependding on region) and witch's boletus (which you should never take without previous experience, its familliar can kill you) What always has a toll are the death cap famillia (10 hours until your liver ends), except the agaric (don't bring that to family dinners, they are mildly halu and one is like having two beers) and the parasol (tbh my favourite to fry, but if you don't know your shrooms, that one can easily end you)
Do you ever go fully barefoot?
Fantastic video. Easy to listen to, the music wasnt too loud, accurate information. All important ingredients to a great video. Keep them coming!
Awesome, thank you! Not sure where you’re based but here in SE England, the Turkey Tails are coming out in force!
That's one cool ahh mushroom
DOOM SHROOM
just tried it - I think 25 minutes would have been too much; the bread was super crispy, but really very delicious. Thanks for sharing this. one more question: why the 4-6 hours for the 2nd rise? That appears to be extremely long and nothing happened visually to the dough...
My guess is flavor development and digestibility.
Sourdough takes longer to ferment/ rise than yeasted breads hence the 4-6 hour rise required
Its like the doomshroom in plants vs zombies
It should get its name changed to the DOOMSHROOM it sounds so much better.
Let’s start a petition! 😅
that is one of the coolest mushrooms i’ve seen
Me too!
Looks like false morel or brain mushroom in a way, ate them for my whole childhood to find out they can cause renal failure 😅
Oops! 😬
That’s an EPIC mushroom thanks for sharing!!!!
spicy intro lol, brilliant info too
Ha I thought so. Was a bit impromptu when I came across them! 😅
Great piece . How do you tell if it a sickener ?
Thanks! The Sickener is typically bright red, starts off convex but flattens as it gets older and can be pretty sticky to the touch. The top of the cap will also peel most of the way to the center. A lookalike the Beechwood Sickener won't peel quite as easily and is more brittle. Lives mostly with pine trees. That said, it's not always easy to identify these - the taste test is the simplest way to see if you can eat a russula or not.
Awesome thx for tips
