EZ Flate Hyperflex quad hose & MOAB compressor - Air up and down off-road the right way
Air up and down quickly with a quad hose. I like the EZ Flate Hyperflex hose set and the MOAB dual compressor. We are not sponsored by EZ Flate. I thought these were common knowledge but every time I use my quad hose people ask me a lot of questions about it. You can make your own, but the price is not much lower than the sets you can buy.

End hitch wobble! Receiver hitches sway, but they don’t have to. Anti-rattle clamps are an easy fix that will help stabilize just about any receiver hitch. Clear your bowels for a few days before you go. There is no place to crap up here. We don't want your crap or toilet paper. Don't bring snacks, candy bars, granola bars, etc or bottles of store purchased plastic water bottles (the ones that sometimes come in cases) All this stuff will turn into litter. Plan on taking any of your trash home. Even before Covid ( was there in Nov 2018), the top was over run with campers. Many short trails that led to piles of toilet paper. People carrying up cases of beer. Once covid hit, it was even worse. There are photos that were taken with a drone. The place was covered with people. Lots of litter and trash. It used to be a wonderful place to go at night when the moon was out bright. That has all been ruined by the tourons.

    bro, this thing is almost 200 bucks for a piece of metal. My lifted jeep TJ (2 doors) on 33 inch tires, doesnt really need this, and I never scraped my rear hitch receiver. This thing could maybe useful on some rigs, but such a rig maybe shouldnt be doing as much off roading if scraping the rear is an issue.

      I get it. Between your lift and more forgiving departure angle your setup is a lot less likely to be an issue. For me, something like this made sense and prevented some unexpected damage before I spend considerably more $ on lift and larger tires. I’m taking my time building my ride. Thanks for watching.

    Just watched. Would love to do this trail. Do you have GPS coordinates. We've done the GOAT trail and the Hurricane Trail. Do you schedule rides? We are in Belmont, NC but come the area often

      Here are the coordinates and a Gaia link to the start of the Shelton Laurel Trail. It is a short ride about halfway between Goat trail and Hurricane Creek. WNC Jeepers, Hendersonville & Asheville Jeep Clubs post pretty regular trail rides out there. I have t scheduled many rides myself. 35.67761, -82.98920 www.gaiagps.com/map/?loc=17.0000/-82.9892/35.6776&layer=Satellite,GaiaTopoRasterFeet

      I-40 (from Asheville) to Fines Creek rd then left onto Shelton Laurel. Fun warm-up trail before hurricane creek or old buzzards roast (The goat trail). You can exit on either side of i-40 at the end. It's few miles before the rest stop and Hurricane Creek coming from Asheville. I usually hit Shelton then Hurricane Creek then the goat trail for a fun long day. Great video thanks for sharing.

    If I just hit the button every time to turn off the stop/start button when I turn on the vehicle, do i have anything to worry about regarding the aux battery going dead?

    • @SecretSquirrelOffroad
      @SecretSquirrelOffroad 2 месяца назад

      Not aside from normal battery life of the aux battery. The drawback to the aux battery in my opinion is when it goes dead it will take the main down with it in many cases. I didn’t like that variable in the electrical system.

      @@SecretSquirrelOffroad , thank you. I plan on keep hitting the button in my 2023 Gladiator to turn off the start/stop feature and keep a close eye/ear if I have any trouble starting the vehicle regarding the regular battery. I purchased my Gladiator used with less than 13,000 miles and purchased an extended warranty to 75,000 miles hoping to avoid any issues or out of pocket expenses for the aux battery.

      Yes you do, the aux battery is basically a separate issue from the auto stop start, but they are inter-related. The aux batteries are really low quality, I have had them die for no reason in less than 2 years. When they die, they sap power from the main battery which can ruin it to a point where it can't be re-charged, and the jeep won't start. Best bet is to move the aux battery (there are 4-5 different methods for achieving this) and then use a programmer like in this video or a tazer to disable Auto stop/start.

      Glad it helped. That’s one of the reasons I started this channel. The aim was to share what I learn either from pouring over forums or just digging into the issue. I’m learning as I go, why not share? This job was more frustrating than getting the battery into an AJT key fob. Love them, but not looking forward to battery changes. Thanks for watching!

      The small battery (aux) is no longer in the Jeep. No problems after about one year. I swapped an H7 battery for the main for some extra battery power. There is a video up on my channel about that as well. The Smart Stop System has been flawless. Thanks for watching!
