Your lucky. When I was first hired back in 1995 as a woman from the start it has been an up hell battle to be accepted. Reason why I can not leave such an harsh environment because I have to much invested there. No at this time I can not stand the co-works I work with. They make me sick. I totally lose self-esteem to a point where I wear the same dirty cloths to work. My hair is extremely messy. I just don't really care anymore about myself.

Thank you for your story, thank you for your courage, as figuring out the Woman I was later, and am, MAC was a big step for me, my sister (in-law) whom is incredible, whom i kept asking how do i do this or that or this, she, said hon, just go to the MAC store. I went in the middle of blizzard here in colorado, and the lady i worked with was incredible, she never missed a beet, and treated me with huge amounts of respect. I went in, she showed me allot too, but, similar to yours when she showed me so many amazing techniques I still use toady. But I remember when we got done with everything, when i saw myself, when i saw the Woman i knew i was, she said do you want me to take a photo cause i had my phone in my hand, and i said yes please, and it was for me as well something that caused me to go, yup, i know whom i am and it's Annae for sure. She also said, yah know girl when you came you looked so nervous and so worried and not sure of yourself, and now look at how beautiful and wonderful you look? and she was right, now trying to not wear as much, just a personal feeling, but being treat like any other female and just being treated with respect, amazing, I wish all stores and place would simply just treat their customers for whom they are, it really dose feel amazing, made me a MAC girl for life.

thanks for liking my comment, i need to figure out how to start one of these channels, cause honestly, i'd like to share this, don't care what others think, figure out whom you are and live it. Is this easy, not at all, but its better, i'm not a philosophy nut, but, i did read something by a german philosopher and then by Camus, but stop relying on what others tell you, you should be, cause if you buy into that, you will never be happy because your self then is always based on another, and if they are not there then what do you have to gage yourself on unless you have a sense of yourself for yourself. This shouldn't mean to be a selfish nihilistic unkind individual, but honestly, at this point i really don't care if i pass or pass by someone whom wants to criticize me for being the woman i am, some days i want a dress and a full face of make up, other days its out the door in van, jeans and a T-shirt and not allot of make up, none of that makes me female. And i wear as much or as little as i want, when i first started i put on an hour of make up, yah was sort of slow, but i can do that in thirty, now for the most part its BB cream, a little concealer, eyeliner and mascara and out the door. Life's to precocious and wonderful and while i'm a calm soul, so no, not going sky diving or to raves or what not, i'd much rather swim, walk a park, get a cup of coffee or do yoga. But most importantly, figure out whom you are and be honest, cause you are you, they are they, we share some space, but more importantly in figuring out whom i am i respect all other for whom they are unless they are hurting others, which is not right, no one should feel hurt or ashamed of whom they are or want to be. But, one last, little point, is simply, be respectful to one another, even if a person doesn't pass or you can tell is trying failing, doesn't have to trans, could be someone trying to learn to draw or cook or what ever they want to try to do, be supportive and respectful and help them if you can to succeed. Lets prop one another up instead of keeping one another down. have a wonderful day, make some magic for yourself cause life is to amazing not enjoy it. P.S. to anyone whom is reading this let me say, yes of course i love it when another woman goes hey Mam or hey miss how you doing, but i don't count on it or need, one of the most empowering early moments i had was i was just completely out to all immediate family and made it a point when visiting my brother in oakland that i was not bring a lick of or dressing not as the female i new i was. But, was in an Uniglo with my Sister In-Law and had to pee, i was scared but she said well go to the bathroom, but i want to try on clothes, so i said okay. Clerk said let me get you the door mam, which was awesome, but got in, and with a minute two other woman walked in, i thought, oh god they are going to shame me and make me feel horrible. Had to wait cause another woman for some reason decided to clog one of two toilets with a whole role of unused toilet paper, but, one woman was unkind, she said you know you could just go use the other restroom, but thankfully the other woman behind her said, hey, when she's done going to bathroom if you don't want to go after her i am. and then as finishing up shopping this woman came up to me and said excuse me miss don't let anyone one tell you whom you are, you look fabulous today, love your eyeshadow and be proud to be you. This is what we need to do for one another LGBTQ or what not, raise one another up instead of putting one another down. Oh and Happy Woman's day to ALL woman, don't let your adjective define you, fat-thin-tall-race-cis or straight all woman are woman and all amazing, its our day to day lets show everyone how amazing we as woman our not just for ourselves but in making the world a better place for everyone. lots of love, bye.

Been up too late on another silly self destructive bender again to write any sense... But the magic wand dream - wake up as a beautiful woman - is the crux of the issue. For me it is a case of "You can't turn Chewbacca into Princess Leia". Sigh. Sob. Heigh-ho. I have my health and all my limbs, so it feels like a first world problem for me, to be honest. Although maximum respect to you!!! xxxx

About my comment on your other vid; I had not seen your coming out vid. So, I understand if you don't feel comfortable diving deeper into the subject. I am very sorry it did not work out between the two of you. I think it would be helpful to me if I knew more about why this was, but only if you feel comfortable. Thanks. By the way; love your openness and honesty in your videos and hope to see more. Your beautiful!

Hi Ashley. Can you maybe do a vid on how you and your spouse are working through the transition? I am in this situation at twenty years with my spouse whom I love greatly and don't want to lose.

Ashley, I am completely inspired by your courage and at the same time saddened that anyone would have to endure so much turmoil and struggle just to be their truest and most beautiful selves. Keep going.............you are creating change in the hearts and minds of all who hear your words.
