Shadow work has nothing to do with calling spirits in! Mind you, I have a daily spiritual practice where I communicate with my spiritual team, but that has nothing to do with my self-healing work AKA Shadow work. Shadow work means whatever has traumatized you deal with it so you can move on it is simple is that and it doesn't involve any deity. It involves whatever work the person needs to do to heal from whatever traumas they experienced in their life. Therapy, journaling, exercise, opening up to people close to you, etc. choosing to work magick to help whatever issues a person has is a choice to work magick and has nothing to do with self-healing Shadow work unless the specific magick that they are working is for that. I'm a victim of SA multiple times in my life and thats what I used to repress and now actually go to therapy for. Do you think that everyone's Shadow is supposed to just be erased because they work on it? No, its integration. It's acceptance of the parts that you would deny of yourself. If you ask people what their Shadow is a lot of times it's some really serious s***, things that do stay with you for your entire life. I don't believe I'm done with my shadow work because I am still integrating the pieces of myself that I repressed away from most of my life, doing the work now instead of just trying to push everything down to heal the parts of me that were damaged with every SA. But now instead of living my life in a constant triggered state I am actually living my best life possible at this time. I'm 36 and I've been pagan since I was 14. I'm a first degree Wiccan priestess, who taught you??????? That's the problem with all these "new agers" your referencing, everyones learning magick from people that didn't learn from people that knew what they were doing. Respectfully, if you would like to be Christian and talk bad about Magick, sure we all get it, don't forget the Inquisition... Have you even heard of the malleus malefircarum and how they used to treat people they claimed were witches. Christians serve a jealous God that will not be okay for you to believe in him and any other God, and at every turn Christians twist his scripture to indoctrinate and commit heinous crimes... But don't talk bad about self-help. Plenty of people need it. How dare you disrespect other people's healing journeys like that just because you couldn't get through your own without switching your faith. You were probably meant to switch your faith the whole time, but refused to recognize it while you were on the path you were on. Have some more respect with the content you put out please. P.s. do not sit there and think that I am biased against Christians. Some of my very best friends are christians, in fact I was sitting in a room with two of them last night and one of them channeled their God for me so that I could have some questions answered. But those people wouldn't dare to say anything negative about self-help and self healing aka shadow work. They have more respect for the fact that we are all on our own journey and what is good for you is not necessarily what is good for someone else. What you experience is not necessarily what your neighbor will experience.

I'm not sure on the specifics, but I followed an shadow outline of: analyzing my sins, why I kept repeating bad behaviors (ie: not blaming outside influences, me specifically why am I addicted, what did I really need. the answer I came to was: feeling unloved by family/parental figure, and dopamine.), then I did a step where I had to "let go" of my anger, anger for others, anger at myself, to forgive others and then to forgive myself. I know a lot of people say doing this while looking yourself in the mirror is dangerous, but for me it was cathartic. I ended up crying for 2 days just letting it all out how much I loved everyone and everything. I am sure that maybe some aspects of whatever else is going on are dangerous, but doing all these things got me to accept Jesus Christ. If I hadn't let out all that rage through a workbook, I think I'd be a much unhappier person. If any here are worried about me, I will just ask for a bit of Matthew 19, and consider a thumbs up as a prayer for me to be safe and well in the eyes of the Lord.

This has done a negative to me. I have only come to have peace of mind once I give my life to Christ.

This sounds like a perpetual loop to get patients addicted to therapy.

Iv been saved by Jesus Christ from New age beliefs of almost 17 years. Shadow work for me was never ending.......more trauma kept coming up for healing. The day i rebuked all, and asked Jesus to heal me, everything became clear, and God closed all the portholes i had opened and renewed my mind. The holy spirit teaches me discernment, and more through holy scriptures, each day. Jesus is my Lord and Savior,

Brothers and sisters. There’s a young woman who I have been ministering to and discipling for about a year. She came out of satanism and hardcore witchcraft. I cannot tell you the countless hours we’ve spent doing deliverance and teaching her. She absolutely loves the Lord but she still has so much stuff from her past (trauma memories etc) and I really think she needs a Christian counselor now. Problem is… where do we find one? We have a very small church so we don’t have resources like in house counselors (outside of us) but really I think she needs to speak to someone trained in this area. Where can we find a Christian counselor, maybe online somewhere? Thank you. Blessings and favor in Jesus name. 🤍

When we have no protection from father, brothers ,plus your man, you do crazy staff. I can't blame this now on anyone, but I was a very young girl when it happened to me, and i didn't know what to do, I was so scared. Now I made so many mistakes due to that. Im leaving with it all those years, and nobody still knows. Now im looking at my kids, and I tell them and guide them to no make those choices. I'll be there to help if this happens. We can raise the baby. Of course, get married first, but if it does happen, not be scared.

Listening to music in general is one of the simpliest form of pleasure. I considered these just a pastime. Different artists have come and go though their songs remains to be heard for generations to come. Its our choice if we want to listen to these or not anymore. Christians are making a big deal out of it so much that's it's kinda stressful reading the comments here. Fan adulation was a passing thing not to be taken seriously in my opinion. Eventually you will outgrew all this admiration or fascination to a certain artist and you will moved on as you grow old. God is forever we all know that just stop condemning these celebrities for they are also humans like us who isn't perfect at all and just victims of their own fame.

I used to be caught up in this stuff I have so many journals working through my “shadow self” - and have also been apart of an Ayahuaca ceremony that during most of it I felt petrified and saw demonic entities everywhere….then I came to Christ and I have found real love and connection for the first time ❤ I am grateful to be walking with God 🙏❤️

I agree with a lot of what you’re saying, however, a lot of psychologists and counselors recognize that Freud and Jung and others were perverts and don’t follow or recommend their practices. Just like when any science was young, psychology had a lot of misguided, false, and disturbing assertions when it was founded. Look into the history of surgery or medical science as a whole. Much if the “knowledge”, practices, and procedures have been discarded by now. It just so happens that psychology is a fairly new science and we’re learning more and more about the brain daily. Don’t completely discount “secular” counseling. If someone needs mental health care and that’s all that’s available, they need to take it. You’re making it sound like they’re all boogey men who will install demons in their patients. That’s simply not true. Therapy techniques have changed by leaps and bounds over the last 100+ years

I am a practicing Christian and Licensed Psychotherapist/ Trauma Therapist (26 years). I have never engaged any client in "shadow work," and believe there are other legitimate, evidenced based modalities that can be used to help clients effectively (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, etc.). I am also blessed to have had many opportunities to bring the Lord into therapy sessions as clients verbalize their preferences. There are many mental health professionals that don't engage in witchcraft practices. I hope we're not all lumped in together. Praise the Lord.
