    Very nice, appreciate the video! Gotta give this a try for a '83 gl 650. Is it lexan or plexiglass?

    Where did you buy the acrylique sheet? Love the idea, I am looking into making a shorter one too. Thanks for the idea!

    I personally wouldn't paint it. I would want to see through it. That is why I would use window tint.

    Thanks for sharing your experience bro! Does the medium height windshield cut the wind down as much as a full height wind screen? How many inches high do you figure it needs to be to get full protection? I've got an original full height factory w/shield and like the protection from the bwind and rain but I don't like having to look through it now that it's dull and weathered. Cheers from Montreal!

    Awesome ride Redzrx! I’ve purchased an’82 GL1100 just this week which works fine except for the starter. Definitely going to check out goldwingdocs.com for reference and community. Cheers from Montreal!

    Very nice GL1100 ...What's the name of that chrome shield that cover the engine looking for some for my bike ..

    • @redzrx
      @redzrx 5 лет назад

      not sure the name but I did see some on ebay.. usually one side only and such.. came with the bike. Originally bike came from Florida.. I'm in Canada.. original owner must have put them on .. they make bike look better cause underneath the engine area is just a dull grey color , engine covers make a huge difference. (I have heard they keep the engine to hot and burns out the stater (which is a bitch to replace) I have replaced the stater once but they all had staters that burned out so not sure it's true. I'm keepint them on though.

      I also painted the shorter shields on the inside.. only.. front the front looks aftermarket.. really cool and thanks.. I made like 4 shields this way

    Them Chrome Shields are Stator Eaters. Take em off. It helps dissipate heat when they are not on. Look good but they kill stators and starters due to overheating them.

    What do you think this machine is worth when fully repaired?

    • @redzrx
      @redzrx 6 лет назад

      I would say around 2500- 3000 in Canadian dollars... the 1500 and 1800 seem to hold their value more than the older gold wings 80 to 83. Mine you others I have seen were in a lot rougher shape.

    Do you know what type of sheperd Zoe is? She looks a lot like a dog we rescued earlier this year and they said he was a shepherd mix. we think he's an Anatolian Shepherd/Boxer mix. Stark acts a lot like your dog too. Loves to jump, very long legs.
