Don’t you need FOUR of them? One for each direction?
Nice job eric!!
Why is everyone so rude in the comments
Everyone has their 2 cents my man. Problem is they would rather toot their horns than learn why the video is here in the first place. Appreciate the comment.
If you know the diamond system, you don't need spot on the wall, example, if you are at diamond 6 and want to bank on left corner, half of 6 is 3, aim for the 3rd diamond on the long rail. Boom, automatic in the pocket. in order to get spot on the wall, the table needs to be level.
The diamond system works for simple banks and kicks the best. The main issue is that it isnt very accurate when you need an extremely precise shot and you arent on any line. Most people cant just aim at the ”2.3” diamond or something similar. The spot on the wall works no matter where the cue ball is. You dont need to be able to visualise how much a 1/3 of a diamond is etc.
And as an added bonus it is by far the easiest 3-rail kicking system.
This is a good system. I'm of the mindset to always add a little bit of running English to get more consistent results from the cue ball contacting the rail. It is easily adjustable using your system.
The distance to the "spot" changes depending if you are going 1 rail, 2 rails, 3 rails, 4 rails etc and whether you are hitting the short rail first or the long rail first. You need to know the distances in order to use it effectively... For example, if you are shooting 2 rails to the side on an 8' table, the spot on the wall should be 13' 7" past the edge of the short rail when you are shooting at the long rail first. It will be further out for a 9' table and the distance will also change if the table plays normal vs. banking short.
What is the chair lined up with? The side and corner pocket?or object ball?
The chair is lined up with the back corner pocket throught the back of the side pocket about 4 to 6 feet away from the pool table
I'm just asking I been trying for the last 2 years to learn cte ..I have stans book and on his fb page ..just seems I'm struggling..Like to try some new
What's does BAM stand for
Hi Robert. Shoot me a text at 815-228-7498.
You never showed how to get the spot on the wall. Even though I already now
Has anyone got bank tips for tables with no diamonds like we use in Australia?
Nice tables man
Thank you. I moved to a new location now where I have a 9 foot Goldcrown and a Diamond bartable.
hahaha spot oc the wall, hahaha spot on a chair hahaha completely ridiculous advice... just practice your banks until you feel them nothing magical about it.And stop relying on every other dude system.
nice good one
Thanks!
P r o m o s m
Well that is great if I only knew how to locate this spot
so you are a licensed teacher? by bca ? are you just think you know best?
I am both. Graduated from Illinois State University in Education to teach K through 12. I currently teach at a Junior High School. I also am a Master Level Instructor with the PBIA (BCA) and a Level 4 Instructor with the ACS. I am also endorsed to teach Stan Shuffetts CTE Aiming System. I dont tell people I know best... but lets just say I am confident in my ability. Have a great day and thanks for tuning in.
apa will not allow this sorry bridge only
It is legal to use in all leagues apa, bca, CSI etc
Good video this is amazing I was a top player back in the early ‘90’s and basically quit playing and never new of this system.
Fantastic.
Great idea to show people these. The APA and other leagues will allow these and other devices for league play. Please, don't let your disability stop you from enjoying the game of pool if possible!!!!
Highleft is the choice every pro would choose in the first shot. No danger of scratching and speed control is easy when using two, three rails
Just an FYI, it works for banks also.
ultimately high left works also...avoiding any chance of scratching
What's with the 5 second staredown at the beginning? Like it's a highschool speech or something lol
Was having trouble with the old phone. I have a new one now.
Where did you get that template that's on table
That is a combination of different templates because I ran out of tape. Made by Gordon Vanderveer.
That Scratch should have told that is not the way to play that shot unless you have to. Its best to follow it two or three rails and stay away from that side pocket.
This is why its a shot to practice bud...
Give us more.. nice video
Great lesson and explanation. Nice to see that you’re human and didn’t have to edit a million times for perfection. The lesson was delivered 😎
I appreciate the compliment. People are so fishy nowadays that instructors feel that they cant show that they are human because people rip them apart. Nice tonsee the other side of the coin here. Appreciate the honesty.
Go forward 3 rails 🎉
Exactly, provided there are no obstruction balls in the cue ball's path.
Nice drill. Would u like to sponser me in apa? I will wear your teeshirt and promote for you.
Are you using any english, follow or draw on these shots?
Hi! No english, just cueing a little above center ball so the cue ball is rolling.
@@g1billiardacademy Thanks.
Apologies for missing that right in the video, LOL.@@g1billiardacademy
Haha. No worries!
I love how you keep it real. You don't edit out misses. It's raw actual footage and I appreciate it. We can't always perform perfectly. We do our best and learn from our mistakes and know that we will perform better next time. No such thing as losses. Losses are all lessons. Missed shots are all lessons. Bad leaves are all lessons. We just keep accumulating our knowledge of the game every time that we step to the table! 🙌❤️🎱💯
How much of that object ball am I supposed to see to hit it right?
Nice!.👍🎱
Genesis- awesome video- keep up the great work! I will try this today.
Thank you. Any questions, let me know!
Are you saying the center of the tip of the cue
That is correct.
Great video. I’m starting to know what you’re gonna do before you do it coach. Crazy. I’m watching every one of these and taking notes.
This is exactly how I shoot…I do not really have to stick with a pattern as long as I leave myself options ! It’s all about options like you mentioned.
Awesome tip!
Thanks for your time and effort creating these video's Eric 👍There's another content creator that also starts with ball in hand for either 8 or 9 ball after the break, to his viewers that say that's not realistic, he says it's not real, it's practice, a player is better served starting with ball in hand rather than spending practice time with no shot, or a poor lie. I saw the pattern you played on stripes, due to the angle I couldn't tell whether the 10 was better in the side or corner. And oh no! the rattle on the 8, it happens to the best of us, for me, much more often than I would like, I'm working through eliminating mistakes at critical times. Subscriber and always give the video's a like 🙂
First!
Hi Wondering what equipment do you have ? Cue , tip , weight , break cue … etc Thanks
I use all 19oz cues. My shooter is a Custom Sawdust cue made by Jack Tan from Singapore and my break cue is also a Sawdust. I break with a Samsara break tip and shoot with a predator victory tip.
@@g1billiardacademy thanks for the info …
Good stuff, Eric. Been trying this and it really helps to slow down my stroke. Clearing and using the middle of the table is great concept. Seems like been 100 years since seen any of you guys down that way. Hope Y'all doing good. Al
Glad to see your 2 ball run...i am not alone lol...what are your pockets set to, 4.5 inches? Or 4.25 inches? Hope to see you on the table soon...I'll be on a Springfield USTB team
They are actually 4.75. This table is actually used more for teaching than anything. The table will change over the next few years. Its currently in its "straight pool form". July next year I will be converting the table to a one pocket table and making them 4.25. The july after that I will make them 4.5 for bank practice and then they will stay at 4.5.
Love the video. We just talked about this Thursday. It takes so much pressure off of me to "connection" play with multiple options available versus pattern play! Thanks for your coaching and the videos! 🙌❤️👊🏼
Keep working hard!
Sweet!!!, I was practicing tonight on 15 ball, got two 15's a 14, couple 12 and 10's, lots of 5 and 6...noticed when i miss its me leaving myself over a ball ..lots more work to do...highest 4 set tonight was 39
I tried this one, after a missing a few shots getting started, I shot 5 balls, they ended up where yours where, slightly above the side pocket. You can be beginner to intermediate shooter and complete this drill. Thanks Eric 👋
Nice grouping for those 5 balls, sounds like consistency with stroke, power, and where the tip hits the CB is the object of the exercise. Thanks for putting this video up 😊
Great video! 👊🏼
