Sheesh, this video would have been a hell of a lot more useful if you had shown the actual installation step by step, instead of showing the already-finished installation and then talking about it afterwards. WTF???

What do you do with the bare ground wire? Do just put a wire nut on it?
I was told that it's a BIG Rookie mistake to put ground and neutral together. There is a reason for a Neutral Bar and a separate Ground Bar.

I'm not sure if you understand what you are explaining here. There are no neutrals in the 240 setup. They are both hot and they both run to the heater. One hotline is a direct connection like you had specified. Once the thermostat cut off one line the heater shuts off.
Mine just quit working. Says 32deg backwards. Will not reset. Pulling my hair out. Thinking it’s faulty and I need to replace. Worked fine the last 2 winters

Ok question. I have 3 pairs of romex coming in. 1 romex The hot line in white and black. Then 2 more romex which are wire nuted together white to white and black to back. (If i separate them 1 set rings out on continunity).
