Have a look at the pulley bearings sounds like theres a bearing on its way out. Also you should have a check enginr light on after that issues but yea just dry everything if no water is inside the motor it should run fine. But i think one of your pulleys needs replacing by my guess.
Have ya checked the fuel filter? I'm sure where its at it didn't get wet but worth a check.
done the same thing with my rav except snapped cyl1 rod when it hydrolocked

Just found your channel and subbed How did your roof hold up? I used car builders on my 75 around a year ago, but still have not done the roof as the original stuff is stuck like shit to a blanket Was waiting to get a new roof seal and unbolt the roof but might just stick it up if its still hanging on for you Cheers
Definitely take that stuff off! Mine ended up falling down about 2 weeks later Apparently there’s stuff called goof off that works well

I bought a factory 79 bullbar for $200 on facebook market place knowing it was too wide but I modified it by cutting out 90mm and welding it back together, it was a big job. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
