Hi I had my Ivf recently I am 23 had eggs 28 retrieved 8 were good but there is only day three one embryo all had not surivived for day 5 and doctors saying to transfer that one that we’ll be good for me

Good to know that they used to do the day threes back in the day-it’s somewhat reassuring for an older mom to know this because there were many children born from the early days of IVF. Even though there’s a better chance with a day five or day six, it is harder for an older mom to get her embryo to five or six in lab. Day three gives us a chance.

Thank you for this video. As a 29 year old woman who hasn’t had children yet this is a huge relief. Until about 25 you’re considered young and in your prime, by 28 as a woman you’re being told the clock is ticking. It’s a hugely anxiety inducing experience.

This made me cry… is really not funny

Unless she's terrified of clowns. I can see it now. You walk into the room and pull down your mask and shout "Surprise!". She starts screaming "Oh God, why?! Not the clowns again! Please, no! Noooo!" And you start screaming and crying because you feel so bad for scaring her. But your tears cause the clown makeup to start running down your face, creating a monstrosity from a sick and twisted horror movie. She starts to lash out delusional with fear. Other nurses charge in to sedate her, but she's got too much adrenalin in her system and she flails her arms around with super human strength. She slaps the needle filled with sedatives into a nurses arm causing her to pass out cold. The needle also draws blood. Her husband, who's been sitting quietly in the corner unsure of what to do with himself or why he's even there, see's the blood and instantly vomits and passes out because he just can't. This causes his wife, who can't stand hearing someone vomit to vomit herself. She then passes out from exhaustion. The nurse who brought in the sedative slips in the vomit and hits his head, rendering him unconscious. This leaves you standing there breathing heavily, trembling, tears and makeup slowly running down your face as you stare blankly at the examination table surrounded by four unconscious people.

I did my FET in 2008 and had two 3 day embryos transferred ( don't think they were really doing single embryo transfers then, even with blastocysts). Anyway, I got extremely lucky and they both stuck and I had twin boys. They were grown out from 2PN embryos that I had made and frozen ten years earlier, when I was 35. I find embryology to be a fascinating subject.

When I see fathers alone with children, they are typically calmer and in control. Mothers alone with children tend to be tense and the kids really test their boundaries. Maybe men get praised more because their children are often better behaved when they are around. Children often respect fathers better than they do mothers because men are more authoritative by nature and command more respect. Is this a universal fact? No. But studies have shown children of single fathers fare better in society than children of single mothers. Men can't afford to fail like women can. It's a double standard that we face in our western culture.

Oh cmon man, we all make mistakes.

Im not saying it's okay to assume she was pregnant, but it isn't a blakes fault for the womans struggles. There is a phrase our house lives by, and ohr luves have been drama free. "You are not responsible for their feelings." This is just sensitivity, which i can understand but not worth condemning this woman over.

I had low AMH (0.54 ng / ml) and my day 2 FSH level was 9. I did the clomid challenge test and my day 9 FSH was 25. We were told we had less than 1% chance of conceiving with IVF. We got a second opinion from RMA Phila and they said the same. But, we now have four babies, all spontaneously conceived without any ART whatsoever. It’s because of a lack of a positive male role model in the daughter’s life. Female children enter puberty earlier when there is an absence of a male father figure. Generally, when a father is present, the child is able to retain their childhood longer and does not have an ostensible chemical desire for male influence or engagement. Dad’s are so important to have present in the lives of both sons and daughters.

Why the precautionary principle isn't followed by our regulatory bodies to me is insane and stinks of corruption- or at least a revolving door between industry groups and the EPA. If they only look at acute immediate risk factors, then they should also argue that exposure to second hand smoke must be safe.
