MEGA COFFEE NURSERY BED LTD.
We plant, supervise and manage your coffee farm.
Certified by Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) & National Coffee Research Institute (NaCORI) - To Generate clonal coffee planting materials of the coffee wilt disease resistant (CWD-R) variety.
We have 7 KR lines (KR1- KR7) of Robusta coffee which are:
1. High yielding
2. Tolerant to drought
3. Resistant to diseases such as Coffee wilt disease (CWD), leaf rust & tolerant to Red Blister Disease (RBD)
4. Produce large beans ( big screen size)
5. Good taste (cup liquor)
Therefore, we supply improved, disease - free planting materials to support planting & replanting of coffee farms.
COST.
1,500/= per CWD-R plant.

Given that there are two coffee seasons in a year, a farmer could earn Shs9m in a year. The current prices for This is at a lower level because it is possible to harvest 10kgs per tree which could earn a farmer Shs9m in a single season. With two acres, a farmer can earn an average of Shs20m per year

A clonal Coffee nursery is a business entity for commercially generating Coffee planting materials from vegetative parts of an established Coffee plant and raising the resultant plantlets in a nursery. The nursery site should be located on gentle sloping and well-drained land, with a permanent water source and easily accessible by all-weather motorable road network.

Hey there are two methods of planting coffee. We hv the Brazilian style where by the spacing is one by one by three metres and the one from UCDA we plant 10 by 10 metres. For Brazilian we plant 1333 seedlings and UCDA we plant 450 seedling. Each Seedling is 1500each and in case you are taking more than a 1000 we negotiate the price. Thx
