Bodnant Gardens, a National Trust property in North Wales. Definitely worth a visit, can easily spend all day wandering around the expansive gardens, with refreshments available also.

how old do you reckon i am ? I remember webbs spare parts, the old town cinema and that garage in the video used to be a coach company call north star. I bought my 1st motorbike in the old town from George Brown, i remember a well known actor, Darren Nesbit lived in the high st.

I once lived in the house seen at 4:57 . 34 Roundhaye, from 1974-1979
I left Langford last year, having lived in Henlow Camp, Biggleswade and Langford for decades. Watching this makes me feel homesick. Still love you Langford.

Lived at st francis orphanage 1967-70. Noticed that the train bridge has been pulled down. Does the fairground still open on the high street ?. Was thinking about a short visit but your video has satisfied me. Thank you.
I can just remember this when it was the AI southbound carriageway. I wonder if Frank Ratcliffes yard will still be there in another 100 years!
Goldings closed down? One lane on the High Street? Looks like the mighty Bear pub is still about!
Yes unfortunately Golding's closed a couple of years ago and they updated the high street to one lane last year.
@@pingvideo-life Shame about Goldings. Bedford has changed since I lived there, it doesn't seem as good as I remember it.
Just upstream from the bridge is an island and dsiused lock.....I seem to remember there's a footpath from the bridge.

Will be more interesting in a few years but today there are cameras in most cars. I like the old videos from around the 70s when you could drive through most roads in bedford Town like silver Street & all of harper street with old buses & cars.

Thanks. I'm sorry I don't live in Cambridge so I don't know anywhere good for accomodation I only visited to make the video. There are lots of student type accomodation there though.

I was born in Bedford in 1942. Two things this video vividly demonstrates is the increase in the volume of traffic, and the expansion of ye olde town. 😀
