I love seeing the windmills every time I drive to the bay. It lets me know that I'm halfway there (at least where I'm driving from). I went to day 2 of the caravan in San Francisco. I would say day 2 was a lot more chill. I actually got to have a nice chat with Iijima-san. He was super friendly and nice! Mind you, I am also super shy and I felt starstruck meeting the creator of a brand I love. I got to take a picture with him and he also asked if he could flip through my traveler's notebook (I nervously said yes). I also got to briefly chat with other people during my spiral ring notebook appointment and at the table where the stamps were located. I think there was a glum atmosphere on day 1 because of the news from the night before. I'm sad to hear you didn't get to connect with people at the event. I would have loved to meet you and chat if we ever end up on the same event some day-! ♡♡

Thanks for taking us along with you! I love the matte black front notebook! Honestly I think there is a sort of disconnect between the online stationery community and the in-person events. Many times I have been to a pen show or brick and mortar store and left disappointed that I didn't get to connect with anyone. People seem to be in their own bubbles (which in my opinion is the common reality of America now). It's not like every one of us is completely shy right?! I dunno, I feel the same way about staff and employees, sometimes they're super apathetic which is just disheartening.

I got the “Only is not Lonely” cover. I was worried as it looked rather cheap on screen, but I love green and wanted to save money. I must say though that I am so pleased. You could probably convince me it is leather. I am a fairly minimal planner and am retired so don’t tote my Hobonichi around. But your case is so cute and holds so much! It’s also always great to see guys represented here in the planner community! Thanks for the thorough review!

Great video!! I love seeing how others are filling their potr strolls! When i got mine I was surprised with how small it was ( i have a large samsung phone that bairly fits) 😅 I got the 6a avec so it is extra thin and i can use the zipper pocket as i only tuck the front cover, so the back cover makes for the smooth writing surface.

I was going to get one of those covers until I saw the priced and laughed hard. I can't justify spending that much on parachute fabric.

Love the bag. However; I’d be paying for a brand name and not the bag. Second, I’m waiting on Disability approval and If I get it the previous comment still applied. Third, I’m constantly shaking due to my severe anxiety, I physically can’t nor do I have to the time to build a puzzle before I’m able to move from my bedroom to my living room before I can journal. I’m not trying to be disrespectful. I’m just being honest.

I really enjoyed this unboxing! Believe it or not, my order arrived *while* I was watching your video. I appreciated that your order was not super huge. I love the HON that you purchased - that design almost convinced me to try the HON this year, but I decided to stick with the A6 Original in English. I kept my order really small this year as well, after successfully containing some FOMO for the 5-year techo and Anane Anane cover (A6). I failed with a previous 5-year techo, so I couldn't justify buying another one. So my order was the techo, an A6 notebook in the Denali at Midnight design; two A6 and two A5 shitajikis (the Unsodo and Denali at Midnight designs), and the weekly supplement. I didn't buy a new cover from 1101, but I did buy a vintage Hobonichi cover from eBay - a tan leather one from 2011, in almost perfect condition. Oh! I got the same freebie notebook design as yours - and I'm also really happy with it. Anyway, thank you for the video! Happy 2025! :)
