An outtake from Dink's 1994 self-titled album. RIP Sean Carlin.
Apartment 26 - Afraid of You (rare 2000 outtake from the Hallucinating sessions)

I haven't seen this song anywhere. It's an unused track from the 2000 album Hallucinating. It was later uploaded online by the band, but then vanished quickly after.
Dig - Believe (BBC Session 1994)

Mark Radcliffe BBC Session, recorded live in the studio. Was on the single for "Unlucky Friend". "Believe", "Unlucky Friend", "I'll Stay High", and the Pink Floyd cover "Fearless" were the tracks performed. Scott Hackwith, Johnny Cornwell, Jon Morris, Phill Friedmann, Anthony Smedile. The band reunited (Scott/Johnny/Jon) and released two awesome songs as of this writing, check it out if you hav...
Econoline Crush - C.D.I.D. (1993 rare demo)

A rare song from the promo demo Purge EP in 1993. The only other song I've heard off of the cassette is "Cruel World" (also uploaded on my account). Hopefully the others will emerge one day. Trevor Hurst, Tom Ferris, Chris Meyers, Dan Yaremko, Robbie Morfitt.
Collective Soul - Shine (Bob's Garage 1994)

The third song of their appearance on a radio show in 1994.
Collective Soul - Breathe (Bob's Garage 1994)

Second song of the set, recorded on an FM radio show in 1994.
Collective Soul - She Said (Bob's Garage 1994)
Просмотров 8 тыс.3 года назад
Collective Soul performs on the FM show Bob's Garage, an early version of "She Said", in 1994. The final song would be released on 1997's Scream 2 soundtrack and as a bonus track on 1999's Dosage album.
Filter - Under (Studio Bob's Garage 1995)

Similar to how I uploaded "Stuck in Here" (electric version), here's the second song of the set, "Under". Pretty raw.
Sponge - The Horns Are Closing In
Просмотров 433 года назад
An odd outtake which I assumed was from the 1994 era but I was probably wrong. The final version, "The Whores Are Closing In", was released on the 2016 album The Beer Sessions.
Sponge - Where Did You Sleep Last Night?

Uncertain about the year, all I know is it could be as early as 1996 or as late as 2016.
Pop Will Eat Itself - The Demon

From the unreleased 1996 album A Lick of the Old Cassette Box. Pretty bangin' track.
Econoline Crush - Cruel World (demo 1993, pre-Purge)
Просмотров 2413 года назад
This was uploaded last year but it got taken down. Thankfully I saved it prior. It's from a 1993 demo tape, and as of this writing, only one other song has been released ("C.D.I.D", I also uploaded). The song was re-recorded for both 1994's Purge and 1995's Affliction albums. Trevor Hurst, Tom Ferris, Chris Meyers, Daniel Yaremko, Robbie Morfitt.

hm.. Very generic lazy remix. It just sounds like a KMFDM song, but stripped way down bare basic & a different singer.
growling GENIUS, THE WHOLE BAND ARE SEXY AF !!!! LANA 👌👌🌻🌻🙏🙏👑👑👑👑🪄🪄💕💕❤❤
Wow, awesome find! I knew this song was old, but I didn't know they played it live way back in '94.
mp3s of all 3 songs from the session here: archive.org/details/filter-stuck-in-here (FYI even though the URL says "stuck-in-here", it's actually all 3 songs)

Good upload. I did this one years ago and it was taken down. All the newer versions they did of this song was so over produced and bland compared to this version. Ultimately the purge cassette demo had the best versions of all the songs that re-released. I still think if they released these versions they would've gotten more press. New versions were just too 'safe and commercial' sounding.
Yeah, Tom and Chris had a huge hand in the raw yet straightforward sound probably. Besides CDID, I still haven't been able to come across the other tracks though. And there's a ton more from that era that's unreleased too which, since Trevor seems to dislike the early years, will never surface.
I got empty point to make
do you have a download link for these?
Sorry for the delayed response, here's the mp3s. Can download each one via the right hand side where it says VBR MP3. Quality is only slightly better than the RUclips uploads, but it's the best that I was able to find. archive.org/details/filter-stuck-in-here (FYI even though the URL says "stuck-in-here", it's actually all 3 songs)
@@xangirdeux473 thank you
Thank you for uploading this, its always been my favorite song by filter. Its even more harass than the studio version I grew up with
lol Kraftwerk made the mix. luv it. <3
Such a bummer that this version of the band crashed and burned so quick
Yeah, but i still love take a picture. Glad they made it eventually
they were incredible at The Gov Adelaide 9 April 2024, he sounds the same, doesn't age, so much energy, best band from my youth ❤❤💕💕👑👑👑👑
That's cool I was wondering if his voice was gone @@britneychester6176
What happened to the shredding guitar
This is amazing. Always looking for more Dink
Im from SEATTLE and remember when this was made. He said, he was ouside , at night, singing under the stars, at Bobs studio. Kick Ass . Via KISW SEATTLE'S BEST ROCK
One of the rare times Ed sang the “Yeah!”
in Cleveland?...
Nah Seattle. Was on a fm radio show hosted by Bob Rivers in the 90s.
Terribly underrated album by a terribly underrated band.
Simplemente chingones....
Where did you find this from?
The yes sir okie dokie is priceless. Loved this. Thanks for sharing
richard sounds amazing here
Is this a demo?
No, performed live on a radio station in '95 (Bob's Garage). Search here on RUclips for the other two songs from the same night, Under and Stuck in Here.
Richie sounds incredible here 😍
Genio ricardo....gracias por la musica maestro
Wow, had no idea that this song was performed back then. My favorite is "She Said," from Scream 2. That's an orchestrated version
Waow . Thankx for the update !!! Better than studio version
You listen to the mtv version?
Sweet beat. Vocals remind me of Emergency Broadcast Network.
Love it. Big EC fan. Would love to hear the rest some day.
Is this the only track available from this session? we need more DIG yeah 😎🎸
There's also "I'll Stay High", "Unlucky Friend", and a Pink Floyd cover "Fearless" that I'd have to upload sometime.
Awesome thanks 🤟🏻
@@xangirdeux473please upload them, I’ve been dying to hear the other songs
"ur welcome !!" 🎵 🔊 unsurpassable rock solid finesse, Mr Patrick ...
Absolutely amazing! 🤘😎 Totally agree with other comments saying that this is the best live performance of "Shine". I have listened to many, many live performances of this track, and this one is heads and shoulders above the rest. And to think it's going on 28 years!
Can you hear me, heaven? YEAH! Then let your light shine down.
FUN Fact: There are songs planned from this album to be on Re-Loaded. The sequel to the game Loaded which featured two of their songs!
I knew about Loaded, but didn't know they also appeared on Re-Loaded. I'll be damned.
@@xangirdeux473 They didn't but they were going to, which would have been amazing. Source here found in the Loaded section of the video: ruclips.net/video/nCezEveCCnQ/видео.html
Great. Except someone added the yeahs but whatever.
No that's 100% from the original broadcast. I can't tell if it's Ed, but if not, it coulda been the station DJ Bob or one of his sidekicks.
Regardless, this might be the greatest version of this song I've ever heard.
This is so damn rare! Thanks for the upload. Had this song on one of my hard drives as a kid & somehow it got deleted. Been looking for this since forever!
No prob! I had no idea it existed until I found it by browsing thru their old website and saw that they posted it in 2002. A damn good album all the way thru. "Void" and "Dystopia" is solid too.
What a great pic! Early days of a fine band......
Awesome!
Woah ''heaven let your light shine down''!
always make me smile when listen to shine...
''Yeah''!.....''Yeah''!.....''Yeah''! Shine Great Song!
Underrated i would say
Very cool, thanks for sharing. I need to track that CD down
So nice....okido
Who is Bob? 🙂
Bob Rivers. He was a DJ in Seattle back in the '90s. He had various bands come into his studio to play live, kinda like John Peel in the UK. A few off the top of my head are Collective Soul, Filter, Candlebox, Gruntruck, Foghat, Brother Cane, Toadies, Sponge, Melvins, Queens of the Stone Age.
@@xangirdeux473 Thanks man. ✌🏼❤ from Stockbridge, Georgia.
Insane
Oh wow!!! I’ve been searching for this for over 25 years! Thanks so much for sharing! Any chance you could upload the rest of the tape?
Sorry buddy, I only have this and "Cruel World" (also uploaded). But I will keep an eye out for the tape and if I obtain it, I'm sharing it asap. And long story short, there's a lot (dozens n dozens) of other unreleased EC tracks that I haven't heard but I know exists.
Finally; a perfect quality of the live version of Shine
Hey! I actually saved this mp3 before the other video got taken down too! I was planning on uploading it if nobody else did, so thanks for reuploading this. I'd kill to be able to get my hands on the original promo cassette this appeared on, but alas this is probably the only gem from that promo tape that'll ever pop up on the internet, unless Trevor ever has any plans of releasing it again. If I ever catch them live I was considering asking Trevor about it (I live in the states so it's a bit hard to catch their live shows) but I'm willing to bet it's ancient history now... I did find some interesting info a few years back on the SOCAN public repertoire page when punching in the names of the songs on the promo tape along with one of the song writers' full names. Most of them are copyrighted by Trevor and Tom, but Chris Meyers pops up as a co-writer for a couple of the ones that were never released (like "Deep Down" and "Something" aka Something More Than This from the promo tape) along with Gordon Gemmell, a person I've never heard before.
Yep, Chris was an early member of EC, and left at the same time as Tom Ferris. I've spoken to Chris a few times, he's a pretty solid guy. He said that he'll have to dig around to see if he can find any old cassettes. Also, where did you find the original info about the promo? Are there pics or somethin'?
@@xangirdeux473 I found tracklists of it on old tripod fan pages of the band. I’ll put links to two of them showing the tracklist. I’m imagining the other tracks were stuff the labels or the band didn’t like too much. Labels can be pretty picky I suppose. members.tripod.com/burning_chrome/albums/other.html imdazed.tripod.com/discography.htm
@@cygnus_XI that's one hell of a find, thanks! I'll be on the lookout for this, and maybe ask Chris himself about it. Am assuming this Cruel World version came from that very tape.
@@cygnus_XI Welp, I found "CDID". I'll upload it soon. Now gotta dig up the other 6 tracks. I made a section on Discogs, maybe some will appear with it one day. Also, that Gordon guy is a guitarist from the '80s. Him and Trevor played in a glam metal band called In a Sense. Trevor might've carried over some stuff into early EC. EDIT: check my account, I uploaded it
@@xangirdeux473 I’m amazed you found that track! I’ve been searching obscure tripod pages since 2011 for that stuff. Major kudos for finding and uploading it. :)
Ed's voice is awkward, but I like it. Thank you for uploading this, it's fun to hear the song change over time.
Ed is emoting like he did in his pre-Collective Soul days (see his 1991 Ed-E album). I'm glad he stopped overly emoting like a pop star without vocal talent and started singing like the vocal virtuoso he is because his voice is too good to stoop to the level of theatrics.
Thank you for posting! I had no idea Collective Soul had written and performed this song as early as 1994! I wonder why they included it as a bonus track on Dosage instead of a regular track...?
She Said nearly ended up on the second record.
@@langdonalger9219 interesting! There are a bunch of Collective Soul songs from the 90s that they haven't put on an LP album. They should come out with a compilation album full of old unreleased tracks, B sides, remixes, and "basement" recordings.
@@markshaw510 That’s a good idea, Mark. I think I heard they were thinking of doing something like that. Not sure if that’s still the plan. I hope the new record gets released this year.
@@langdonalger9219 me too! I think I would've preferred to hear them take a crack at a double disc album of original songs, which was their original plan for Blood. But, I understand that isn't a good business strategy in this modern age (of artists releasing singles and short EPs).
Thank you!!!
It's cool to hear stuff like this... YES it's rough, but you can feel the raw talent. Also, HACK! Haha, apparently around this time, he was dating the cousin of a friend of mine... (allegedly)
Do you know Hack's real name? Is it just Ziggy under a moniker? They looked quite similar. That's awesome you knew EC in the old days, though. Chris Meyers was in contact with me briefly and seemed like a solid guy.
