By today's standards, I don't think that Sally would have gone to Prison. She murdered a gosspping schoolmate who made her life miserable. Nobody knew about the intensity of bullying then the way they do now. Vera was also hated but when you look at her life you can understan how bitter she was. Also they didn't do Sally any favors, she's an addict they should have put her in a Hospital Detox Center.

I've never understood when prisoners ask to go to their cells when they're frightened of a bashing in the rec room. Why would you go back to your unsupervised cell, where bashings regularly occur out of sight of officers, when you could stay in the rec room and at least have a couple of officers ready to step in?

That ending is what kept people coming back for more every time. I love Prisoner.

You frequently have to suspend belief when watching Prisoner. For example, just how probable would it be that the governor of a jail, would take someone like Doreen Burns - a double escapee - out on a day visit just to teach her a lesson? LOL.

Have to say this siege plot is particularly badly written. Meg's instant enthusiasm to risk her life "because Margo deserves a chance" didn't ring true at all, and don't get me started on that TV cameraman following Meg all the way up to the shop as if the cops would have allowed that to happen.
