Hi, I am looking for PhDs in Europe, mainly in Germanic and Scandinavian countries. Could you tell me if it is necessary to send a research proposal as part of the application to an advertised PhD on Euraxess, academic transfer or Xing (for Germany). So far, I have been sending cover letters, CV, Letters of recommendation, and relevant research work (if they ask any) but I have not been able to get shortlisted. I am aware that in Germany, we need a research proposal for individual PhDs. Could you clarify this please?

Thank you so much for sharing this good informations I just finished my master degree in microbiology in turkey And I really dream to finish my PhD and being a researcher since im child I started to look for an opportunity to study in Netherlands because i visited it 2 years ago and fall in love with the country and the people BUT/// 1- im from IRAQ so there is some problems i have A- English is my second language B- my education background is not good as yours 2- im scared from exams sometimes i never sleep because an exam , but im a quick learner and a hard worker (this what my MSc professors and my supervisor can say about me) 3- i don’t know how to talk with a professor what to say to them 😄 4- since i get my bachelors degree i never worked in lab but when i start my master degree i learned from RUclips the basics by my own then i worked on applying a propolis extract on CANDIDA ALBICANS and check it antifungal activity So how i can get help 🤷🏻‍♂️ help a biologist brother Omg!!!
