So the final condition of the man is worse than before he shared.

Men especially gen x men are trained to repress emotions and if we dare to become vulnerable it will be used against us most often by our "loving" wives. This is a big part of why suicide among men are higher than any other demographic.

Great words of wisdom and encouragement. However its been 20 years since i was betrayed by a six year relationship. She later married and started a family with the guy she cheated on me with. Funny thing that for three years afterwards she would call or email or send bday cards. Why? To rub it in, to think i would still be friends after the embarrassment of being cheated on? Were her words and affection even real, did even matter to her, was it all fake, . She now seems to have a lavish and “happy” lifestyle
