I QUIT LECA! Repot and Chat
Why did I quit LECA? What the heck am I repotting? Why is this satin pothos such a pain in the ass, and so sentimental? Also sorry for the random echoing here and there; I could not figure out why that was happening.

My first thriller-filler-spiller arrangement with some coleus that I've had for a while. Sorry it's vertical; I intended it to be a short.

I tried to hike after the floods

California had a ton of rain that led to floods a couple weeks back. Once the weather cleared up, I tried to go for a hike... results were mixed.

Просмотров 45Год назад
Repot and chat! Got some native plants to show you. Discovering mealybugs in real time. Then I discuss my reasons for wanting them, like attracting local pollinators, and attracting some natural pest control. Finally, I show off two more plants, one of which has a bit of a sappy story. #nativeplants #pollinatorgarden

New sub. Lookin forward to my Isopod journey
I enjoyed this video SO MUCH. Please do more pod videos!!! Your enthusiasm for them is so nice haha. Also! Where do you get your bins from?
I love seeing your collection! I think it would be super helpful to have the species and common name as a caption while you’re handling each to help remember the species!
The brown skirt yellow dot vulgare are the nightgold morph.
Nice collection!
I have a colony of yellow dot isopods and I have experienced some die ofs to 😢 but its normal .
Would love if you had the extra touch and did timestamps. Understand if that is to much to ask
Great video! Thank you:)
Nice
How do you feed them?
just dead leave and fish food
@ayoutubeuser8383 I always found them under Rick's bit didn't know what they ate.
@@sandyblue4235 as i said they are actually scavengers.
I loved it when the had little yellow babies
Liar..! 😅
They are SOOOO CUTE❤
Love it!
Gosh darn it. I told myself I was done with coleus and now I want all of them. That is beautiful!!!
Uh oh, I've ruined you once more!
Oh my god how pretty 💗 I adore coleus, the centrepiece one is really stunning
Thanks! I love coleus moondust. It has been a good, steady grower.
That’s a really cute arrangement.
Thanks! It took a while!
Wow it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Nice!!!
Thank you! 😊
I wish My isopod colonies had such cool markings on them, but mine are pretty boring but I love to see videos about cool looking isopods!👍
Nothing wrong with isopods with no markings. They are cute all the same!
I love the way you did this! So cute, and I busted up laughing at the end. Farewell balcony garden, You’ve been a good friend….
Haha! It was a good friend. I learned so much there.
They're so cute! Always love to see videos of isopods ❤ ive actually been considering getting an isopod colony at some point in the future, but ive only had parrots before so its a pretty big difference and im terrified about getting something wrong and accidentally killing them
If you've had parrots, i think you'll have a good time with isopods! especially if you can choose a species that is a good fit for your strengths and your household environment.
Wow what cool new possibilities! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
I am stoked!! So much space and sun now.
Whoa is this in line with the prime directive?
I hope so...
Thank you for bringing awareness to what lady big larvae look like! Ladybugs and their larvae are definitely amazing to have in the garden since they decimate aphids!
Absolutely! I will save any ladybug larva I see, even if that means Mr. Spider has to find a new lunch. Sorry buddy.
Most of the time I'm lecturing my Dairy Cows on not eating each other
🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤔🤔🤔👉🏻👉🏻😆😆😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Nice video.
Awwww!!! Friends!!!!
I want to see hummingbirds so so badly, there’s part of me that doesn’t believe they’re real because I can’t conceptualise a bird so small
Well, can´t say I asked for it - but thanks! :D
Why do everybody longs for contact with aliens? Nature here is SO much interesting and at hand! 7:50 looks like covered with runes :) And I totally approve your enthusiasm!
Hey you’re right ! I never noticed that. Thanks!
Just as crazy as me 😂❤❤❤
I love
You're gay
Dog prints I think!! How cute
Oh that makes a ton of sense tbh.
I think the plant with clover-like leaves is wood sorrel. My ex used it in topical salves. And for liver/lung support.
I didn’t know it could be used for that. Neat!
That surprise plant is beautiful! I love those flowers
Sometimes the leca stinks and that's ok. The plantbabies forgive you.
I hope your treatment of the iris goes well. I never even heard of grow bags before. This channel is fascinating. It makes me want to keep plants… despite being freaked out by having dirty hands.
I'm a big fan of gloves for that. But definitely don't love the sensation of the dirt on my bare hands after a while.
It’s so soothing to listen to you talk about them and just look at all the pretty green.
Aw 🥺 thanks!
I love all the detail about the colors and shapes of leaves.
Thank you! I do my best.
So pretty!!!
Thank you!!
Your plants look so so happy 💕
Hey thanks! Wasn’t always that way. It’s a learning journey.
More LECA more problems!
It really is true.
Ok they are super cute.
Do more videos...am waiting for the next one🌿🍀.
More videos are coming, don’t worry! 😊
Congrats…💚🐡🪴
Hello! You just appeared in my feed - new subscriber, here! I'm also head over heels for my Marble Queen, which is now huge!😉 Love your collection; lots of interesting specimens, not just one of the usual tours. Amazing how much color you have on the Persian Shield inside - well done! Thanks for sharing 💚🪴👏🏽🪴💚
Hi Lisa! So glad to see that I’m showing up on feeds. Thank you!! I hope my marble queen gets as big as yours someday!
What’s LECA?
Lightweight expanded clay aggregate! It’s a growing medium for semi hydroponics. The plants root into that while the whole pot sits in a reservoir of nutrient water.
