I got mine at Petco. Only problem I have had is that sometimes you have to turn the swivel piece by hand to detangle.

How do I open it ? My dog chewed the leash and I can't get it open to repair it . Took the screws out and it won't come apart to pull the leash inside out.

I bought the blue one, M, reflective tape (which is barely reflective, as I have tested with others observing me use it and tell me). I find this tape a very stressful experience, as compared to the "Flexi" brand, which I have too, reflective tape again. The buttons on this Wigzi are so frustrating, and not at all easy to use intuitively. The button closest to the thumb, gets locked PERMANENTLY every time it is depressed, as in instantly locked. If you just want to depress and lock the leash temporarily, then this permanent locking mechanism is so frustrating, not to mention dangerous at certain crucial times when all that is needed urgently is a temporary hold. To unlock and free the tape again, I have to struggle in confusion to STRETCH my thumb far out to the other forward button, and depress it, just to unlock and have the tape back to normal use function. This stretching-out of the thumb is so cumbersome and tedious, one has to really struggle to reach it, and even with my man's big hands I find it so, I can only imagine how difficult it would be for a woman's hands. Flexi's mechanism is much simpler, intuitive and easier to use, with no tediousness and struggling at any time whatsoever. In Flexi's tapes, the main button (closer to thumb), is depressed for a temporary hold, and there is no other "front" (farther) button to reach for in a hurry, The main button is a long button with an inbuilt slide-lock mechanism -- push that slider front to lock, slide back to release the lock -- nothing could be simpler and more ergonomical, and simple and intuitive to use in case of an emergency. No struggling with two buttons as in the Wigzi, which are not at all intuitive, and are not at all ergonomically designed and placed on the right reach-length from the gel handle. The Wigzi is a FAIL design, and needs a redesign to be smoothly operational. I like the gel handle though! It is indeed very comfortable. Wish the overall design and operation mechanism was more logically efficient in engineering and design. I have both, but I consciously pick up the Flexi for my dog walks, because of the chance of an emergency, wherein I can intuitively control the leash tape without fumbling and causing delays in controlling the situation at hand. I can't trust Wigzi to be as swift in operational control, due to its confusing button design. I have another tape leash, from Flexi again (older model), which too has two buttons, which are again, smoother and simpler to operate -- bigger back button to "temporarily locked" position to hold the tape by keeping it depressed, and the front (farther) button (which incidentally is very easy to reach with the same thumb without struggling to extend it as for in the Wigzi), to permanently lock "permanently", with the unlocking feature in the bigger button by depressing it ever so lightly. Perfect in times of an emergency, and a pleasure to use and handle in normal times; so what if it doesn't have the gel handle, safety is more important than a gimmicky comfort feature.

any suggestions of how to fix this. I need to open it you get at springs but not sure how to get past gel handle. tks

Holy G*d - DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT!!!! Any professional dog person will tell you that it is a disaster waiting to happen. Single line flexie leads are dangerous to dogs and their people AND teach your dog terrible behaviors (reactivity & pulling). Double the lines and you will multiple the dangers even faster.
