I'm so glad Soken had the chance to use the Awakening trailer music. It was the one track I've been looking forward to listening in full in FF16 and I was disappointed it wasn't in the base game.

These are nice, but I'm trying to track down the Skywheel Square date music that mixes Gold Saucer with the theme of your dates. There's SO MUCH music in this game, and you might not even NOTICE the tracks I'm talking about if you run straight for the ride. Edit: I did track them down. Title format is "a night out with (insert name here).

Ultima Theme when?

Okay this might be a bit controversial, but I think I possibly like FFXVI more than FF7R. FFXVI gave us something completely new, and it feels more contemporary. I’m doing my second play through right now. The cutscenes are less cheesy, and the game is filled with violence and death. Then throw this soundtrack on top of it…It’s an amazing game!

There is a reason why this game won "Best Soundtrack" at The Game Awards. Imagine: you just came from chemotherapy, go to the Fan Fest, enter the stage, perform a godtier shitpost, refuse to eleborate and just leaves. What kind of BALLS do you need...? Soken did all of that. And he is regarded as one of the, if not THE, best FF composer of the last 15 years. He deserves his spot alongside Uematsu.

My first ff game and what an adventure. The peaks of this game can't be touched period, it was so hype. With incredible characters and dialogue. The side quests hurt pacing but in the end you could see the developers wanted to build a sense of community. A flawed masterpiece and the ending was...yeah no spoilers lol The bahamut Boss fight is the greatest boss fight ever, like "holy shit !" good. Not including ultima fight cause that shit was orgasmic level good.

The Odin theme is probably one of the best pieces of video game music I’ve ever heard in my life.

How I’d describe every battle with each Eikon in my very first playthrough: Ifrit was a fight of fire against fire and to fulfill a destiny of dominance Phoenix was like a fight of who’s the better fire eikon Shiva was a fight to free a friend from her own frozen heart Ramuh was like fighting Merlin himself Garuda was like fighting a tornado god Titan was a test of strength and resilience Bahamut was a fight of united brotherhood against a rouge cosmic beast of legend Odin was both a master of the sword and dual of fates Leviathan was an exhilarating fight against the coming tide! That is what it felt like to fight each Eikon boss in the game only Phoenix you fight as rather than fight against!

Huh, Beyond the Heavens is pretty long considering the 3rd phase of Bahamut (before he absorbes the Mothercrystal) shouldn't take very long with how low his health is at that point.
