It was so good to see you and your family last weekend at the Shakespeare Festival! I found some of my family members too there, and we all suprised each other when we found each other, not knowing the others would be there. The flowers that the girls make remind me of the hair styles they created, their hair styles looked like beautiful blooming flowers. The clothing is feminine and beautiful, it is so good to see women in dresses that are modest, and so pretty. Thank you for sharing this, what great ideas for pulling a feminine fall wardrobe together and all from a thrift store! Such treasures at thrift stores, they are my favorite!🌻🌻🌻🌻Happy fall!

This is beautiful. It brought back memories of when my four would sit on the couch and pray the rosary. My youngest child, when 2 years old, thought it was time for him to stand in the middle of the living room and do a fancy dance and pretend to have a microphone in his hand using the drumstick to a xylophone as his mic. Little monkey. I guess he thought everyone was sitting there for him to perform. I'd tell the kids don't look at him, look at the picture of the Sacred Heart. They were having a hard time keeping from laughing. Satan does try us in all kinds of ways to distract us. Even with a little sweet and innocent baby boy. Eventually he got the idea that we were praying, and he sat on his little chair, held his wooden rosary and pretended to pray with us. God is so good to give us these memories.

I have loved your Maglets for years. Now we are moving to St. Mary's in the next couple of months!

The decorations and sentiment of your's and your daughter's homes are heart-warming and inviting. It is good to present this atmosphere of love and warmth as the nights are cooling and then the days begin to be cooler as well. The world is not a good place to find warmth and love very often, and perhaps it is due to a lack of it in too many homes. May our homes encourage a fire of God's holy love, and may it spread throughout the world through our children and the generations we hope will come. God's holy Will be done.

Each season has it's beauty in Kansas and in the mid-west, it is always sad to see summer wave good-bye though. An old Irish song often comes to my mind during this time of year, it's a melancholy song called "The Last Rose of Summer", it makes me think of St. Therese, as she died near the end of September, just after the end of summer, and now, it causes me to think of my grandma and my mom. Momma is still with us, thanks be to God, but, she is nearing 90 and is in much pain. I know that one day God will call her away, and it will be like that "Last Rose of Summer" song, and my heart will break. May Our Lord bring all of us to His Eternal Spring where good-byes are no more.🌹🌷🪻amen.

Absolutely true. When overwhelmed with all that awaits for me to do, I get anxious and anxiety attacks set in. If I start with a task, any task and just do it and complete it, my anxiety subsides. Sometimes it is one moment at a time.

Your children were so lucky to have you for a mom and teach them these things before the world got ahold of them. I’m probably your age and my upbringing was very different and my life choices had no compass. Luckily I have a special needs son so is an innocent soul and wasn’t able to make bad choices. I’ve followed you for years but I don’t remember hearing about your upbringing ..if you were raised in a solid traditional Catholic home. Blessings to you and your family and all you do.

This is a very helpful reading. Something like scruples is easy to slip into without being aware, as you read, it is an obsession and a mental illness, but, thankfully it can be helped through the guidance of your confessor. What a gift our priests are! May God generously bless and guide them.

So glad they are having a good time in France, my husband and I did too, many years ago as we took a river cruise in Paris past Notre Dame, long before the horrible fire. My husband got to sing with the Topeka Festival Singers in Notre Dame then. Brings back many wonderful memories.

What a lovely day! I wanted to do an outdoor egg hunt for my 9 kids but it ended up snowing in Alberta right before so we had to stay in the house. Hoping one day soon we have a later Easter with good weather and can do what you guys did! Hope you are enjoying this Easter season! ❤

That is my all time favorite that we sing at St. Rose Philippine! I remember when we sang it for Fr. Wolfe at his going away dinner for him. I really hate good byes. 😥 How amazing to sing at such a beautiful church! I hope it is still in use as a Catholic Church.

My birth mother is an abusive person, she has always tried to destroy my motherhood and name to my children. This past year i had to give up contact with her because it was affecting my homelife and family too much. I have prayed and prayed for some kind of help and guidance because I do feel very lost in the raising of my children. I have adopted you as my mother Mrs Vanderputten thank you for all your advice you offer i take it all very seriously and to heart. I pray God keeps blessing you for all your hard work and charity. I can see all your hard work in the photo of you and your daughters. I hope they know and appreciate what a golden mother God has given them.
