    • @naderzamani5752

      Linear buckling analysis is only a non-conservative estimate. It ignores many things such as imperfections due to geometry, loading, material flaws/ etc. I suggest that we look at a standard book on stress analysis where things are spelled out in more detail.

The validity of the results depends on many factors that we are not disceting (in this course). Hello, your knowledge on this program is incredible, congratulations. I have problem I can't solve: I want to model and analyze a roller pushing on a piece of flat metal sheet. The roller is not moving freely, only moves against a piece of metal sheet fixed on one end, but the roller moves only in the direction towards the metal sheet, not laterally, not transversally. Just pushes on the sheet of metal, but, I can't figure out how to have the roller spin and actually roll on the sheet of metal. Instead the roller gets attached to it between meshes in contact. If I get the roller spin and move along on direction, it seems to work, but it pulls from the metal sheet, which is not correct. I'll really appreciate any help!!! thank you Nader.

    May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you, Dr. Zamani . a question please. This is a simulation of user-imposed speed and acceleration, not real physical speed and acceleration, right? An example of this is not the cube sliding along an inclined path based on gravity, thank you very much

    • @naderzamani5752
      @naderzamani5752 6 месяцев назад

      Hello najinoureddin, yes you are correct this is strictly "kinematics" and does not know where the acceleration is coming from. That is why the workbench in Catia is called "DMU Kinematics". in the versions of Catia burried inside of 3DEXPERIENCE platform, you can also perform kinetics such as block sliding down a ramp under gravity. Here is a demonstraion by Maxine Chagnot ruclips.net/video/mKr6L0J6tjc/видео.html

    • @najinoureddin6158
      @najinoureddin6158 6 месяцев назад

      @@naderzamani5752 Thank you very much for your attention. Yes, I saw the link and the simulation of sliding under the influence of gravity and being affected by the amount of friction, including the rebound resulting from the impact. So we can say that the same command applies to the acceleration command in the analysis workbench for version v5. We cannot drop a mass from a height onto a surface. This is correct ?

    Hey Prof. Zamani, this is a very good video thanks. I think I may have spotted why you get a different result. Do you apply the radial perturbation load 1.4 N incrementally at the same time the shell is compressed? it should be two steps first step apply only loading until 1.4 N and then you have a shell with a large dimple and in the second step you compress the shell.

    Hello Nader thank you for your high quality videos, do you know how to model a strucural steel cable in catia ? My problem is a steel tubular frame of 1m by 1m with diagonals that are steel cables. The frame is clamped at the bottom and the is a load on the left side of the tubular frame.
