I liked your video. It was interesting and made sense. I liked how you compared it to various other needs people have that can't be in the military too. My two thoughts: One, transgender people have a higher suicide rate than the rest of the population. So why would we want them to be put into a situation where they could end up seeing some terrible things that cause them to get PTSD, depression, etc...that would make things worse for them, make their lives harder, cause them pain when they're already dealing with a lot. My other thought is, if a transgender person needs to keep taking hormones and stuff, what if they're doing something in the military where they end up being cut off from things they needed, like some sort of mission, or god forbid being taken captive, any person requiring drugs at certain times should not be put into a situation where they might have to go without the medication they're on. I have bipolar disorder and I would not want to do something where I could possibly end up in a situation where access to my meds would be shaky. I understand transgender people's frustration with things not being equal but if it was my choice I wouldn't let them into the military not because I have any ill will toward them, but simply because I'd feel putting them in the military is unkind when they've already gone through a lot, and their medical needs could end up being neglected.

Leading up to surgery did you have to stop T. I've heard some other trans guys on here say they had to stop it for so long before and after surgery

Ashley you are gorgeous! It's quite difficult being lesbian in a mainly "heterosexual" relationship. I don't consider mine heterosexual because I'm not haha! Excited now that Cade is who he really is! Very proud of how far you two have come, here's to forever :)

I LOVE meeting ppl who are clueless about Transgender Issues and talking to them and watching them just suddenly "get it" and they have that V-8 moment, lol. I've been amazed at how many ppl start out with negative attitudes towards Transgender ppl but when they MEET you and get to know things about you, they all seem to loosen up and get real and I feel like it brings us all together as human beings. My 15 year old son in Transgender and the greatest experience of my life, was attending the Gay Pride parade last year. It was soooo amazing being surrounded by the wonderful, accepting LGBTQ crowd. If only the rest of the world could be so accepting and full of love. sighhhh....

I'm so glad to have found you on here. I have a trans son who is 15 and is 8 months on T. I can't wait to hear how your family dynamics works with you having a child. Very interesting. Nice to meet you!

I really have no questions for you, but I do think this is an Amazing idea! :-) I am so proud of you for standing out and being your true self, I know it's been hard for you at times but I am so grateful to finally find someone who is honest and open. I can't wait to see more. Recently, I have heard multiple people ask about little things since this video for instance... After taking t, have you changed your diet or craved things that you didnt before? Or Has it changed your family life? Or Do you get offended if people accidently call you your given name? ---or If you correct them, do they stop? I feel as if I know you well enough to answer but, I also am not trying to tell any of your business to people.
