Thank you for visiting our channel. We are Mo and Jeanny and we live in Homestead, FL (South Florida). I am a full time flats fishing captain and Jeanny is a professional makeup artist. Together we share the same spirit of adventure and spontaneity and one of the avenues we choose to express our sense of adventure is through camping. We have been tent camping for all our time together but now a new adventure awaits, as well as a new degree of comfort, in our "new to us" 2004 StarCraft Travel Star 21SSO hybrid camper. We can honestly admit we haven't seen a more perfect camper out there for us at this time. So, enjoy the videos and get out there and have adventures of your own!

We took my birthday as an excuse to travel to North Florida for a week. The start/ stop feature really sucks in the JL Wrangler 6speed manual transmission- i always disengage. Those 2 things dont mix. I'm loving my 4 door Unlimited Sahara-& this is coming from a 4Runner guy 😅

I'm glad you posted this video and thank you for the honest review. We are in the market for our first RV and you definitely have made us go into the process with our eyes open. I know it's a loaded question but do you think it's worth buying an RV?
Thank you and thanks for watching. That is a loaded question and the answer is different for everyone. In our case, it is definitely worth buying one since that is our favorite method of travel and we really enjoy the entire experience (minus the repairs).

Nice rig. I've got a 2024 Gladiator and am researching camper towing capabilities and possibilities. Have you done any videos talking about your hitch setup (WDH or not, etc.), the real world tongue weight of your new rig and how that is affecting payload for your JT, how heavy the trailer is loadaed, etc.? I'd appreciate hearing some actual experience from a fellow JT owner/Rver. Thanks!
@@jaketheFIXER Thanks for watching! Since I published this video I traded in the JT and got a full size pick up. While it wasn’t what I really wanted to do, the constant electrical issues with my JT forced the decision. With that being said, the Gladiator towed this camper just fine. I haven’t done any videos on WDH or weights but I’ll provide what I can as follows: I have a Camco Recurve WDH and is amazing. I do believe the JT benefits greatly from a WDH therefore I wouldn’t tow without it, even with my new full size pick up. The Recurve has a built in anti sway feature that helps quite a bit. The dry weight of this rv is about 4200lbs dry plus battery, 2 30lb propane tanks plus all our stuff. My best guess is our fully loaded trailer is at about low 5k pounds. The JT towed it well as the Sport S with tow package has a max tow rating of about 6,500lbs. It’s always best to tow at max 80% of your max tow rating. While towing fully loaded the RPMS were about 3500 vs 2500 when not towing (that’s on the freeway). Mpg were between 8-10, not any different from my current full-size with a V8. Let me know if I forgot to answer any other questions. Enjoy your JT, I loved mine.

Your in Miami, and your driving on passenger seat?
The JT and JL are definitely not for everyone. You have to go into it with realistic expectations. The fuel mileage is crap. You'll inevitably have water leak into the interior at some point. The power from the pentastar is crap. The cabin will always be noisy. For all of that you get a vehicle that is great off-road and a lot of fun on a nice day when you can take the top off. Do I regret my purchase? No. You could have my JT over my cold dead body
Its a Jeep! I dont know why people expect it to be refined, smooth & quiet?! Still loving my '02 TJ 4.0L.
lemon exist, i got a crap hynday santa fe 2013 always on towing but they have good reputation. my gladiator 2020 is all good in 2024 now. shit happen.
If you don't have a trailer/camper, and so will sleep in tent or car, does the campground have bathrooms with running water and flush toilets ? Or what is the setup?
Yes, they do have a separate area for tents and there are nice bathrooms with showers and toilets and the tent sites we saw did have water and electric.
Oh, one more thing. Make sure to bring bug repellent and check your legs often for the tiny red ticks I mentioned in the video. I'm not sure what type of ticks they are since I didn't look into it but I suspect they have to do with the large amounts of deer in the park.
