What is the all foams mod?
@@Peepew987 all foams isn’t really a mod, but a type of configuration. Some people don’t like the sound or feel of foam dampening in their keyboard. It’s preference, and based on the board!
I hope they will start selling these on their site. I missed the Kickstarter.
I like the sound. But I wish there is marbly sound
have you tried a rail-bottom out switch before? ☺️ Unikeys x BSUN Waves is a very interesting switch, one that I flip flopped on liking and not liking haha. Some thoughts if you care!! 1. there’s noticeable pinging whenever you half press on most switches 😖 2. It feels like you’re bottoming out in a different spot depending on the angle/spot you press. Sometimes I get a soft thud from the rails, and sometimes it’s poppy instead, maybe from the stem (?) 3. Just a note, but this switch is unforgiving to stabilizers with any sort of rattle (kind of like silent switches). I’ve enjoyed having a different switch on the stab keys only. But despite these drawbacks…. It’s an interesting switch I wanna keep around :) I will upload the standalone typing sounds soon and you can hear the interesting “rail bottom out” sounds more clearly~ ((( specs ))) Keyboard: QK75 in Milky White by (replaced by QK75N) Keycaps: TUT Matcha Cocojelly Switches: Unikeys x BSUN Waves you can save 7% on both the switches and keycaps with my code “Noela” on unikeyboards.com 🫶
Beautifully shot, makes me want one.
Very smooth sounding. I've been eyeing the Tiga but wasn't sure if sound like this was possible on that board
yess, it's less resonant than other keyboards, but if you pair it with a long-travel switch like this, it can definitely give some good clack/thock too :D
No foam… finally
Still hasn’t arrived. Really poor comms from Lofree. Almost not sure if they have actually posted the kickstarter pledge awards or not. If you definitely want this kb taobao is your best bet. Lofree sucks
How would you compare these vs the oat switches from keygeek?
@@jay9404 that is such a good question and one I cannot answer because I haven’t tried them yet 🥴 but I plan to!! they are by the same manufacturer so I’m sure it’s a similar level of smoothness. I’ve been enjoying keygeek switches recently!
What switches are you using?
@@sheridanheishman8336 these are KTT Hyacinth! A great thocky switch
Great Video, just returned to the Hobby after 3 years and amazed at what you can get for around $100 nowadays. What aftermarket switches did you like best on it?
Thank you! it’s a great time to be back, we’ve made great strides in the $100 space and it’s pushing more companies to offer something more unique or different in the higher brackets too ☺️ I’m going through a BSUN phase right now so the Udon and the Aniya were the smoothest, but the HMX Cloud is definitely a top one for a clacky sound !
love how honest and thorough your reviews are! always look forward to your videos 😁😁
Thank you Will, that is so sweet!! 🥹🫶 you’re the best 🥰
nd75 has the same aluminum ripple design, not plastic backplate.
Ahh thanks for calling this out! I hadn’t realized that ND75 had a design upgrade since my first version. The unit I have looks has a different backplate than the most current listing. Thank you ☺️
@cloudnoela i've took apart backplate and knocked on it to find out it was aluminum, love your videos i watch often on IG
@@FaydeAssassinaww thank you so much!! Glad we can enjoy keyboards together 🥹
Thanks for the video 😘I've loved the ND75 with the screen so I thought I'd give the TLK a try, and bought the white version. So far I think its so-so. The self-illuminating module was such a waste of space and time - much better to have status LEDs or something in its place instead. Also not having a top mount option was a huge missed opportunity too. I think they need to do a version 2 of this board and include those options and it'll be a much better buy.
Totally agree with this! Only two mounting options is indeed lacking, should have included that in my final thoughts too. With a few tweaks this could definitely be a MUCH better board, and since we’ve seen Chilkey do updates to the ND75, I hope they’ll be open to updating the ND TKL too, eventually with user feedback ☺️ thanks for your comment!!
@@cloudnoelaThanks for all your time and effort to make these videos for us ❤️
Tape name?
@@Alfianreq it’s simple Scotch Painters tape! Any painters tape would do. Masking tape is too strong and higher chance of leaving sticky residue.
hello! just curious- how "off-white" of a shade would you say the Q6 max's shell white casing is, like in terms of subtle tones? i've been looking into getting the Q6 max as my first mechanical keeb & was interested in getting it in shell white, but i'm concerned about how yellowish it could be against keycaps with a more bold/blue "cyber-ish" color palette if that makes sense at all.. ( lovely video !! :D )
@@piiikun I’ve since gifted this to a friend so I don’t have it with me in-person anymore, but I do remember it being quite white! Not at all cream or noticeably off-white or grey. I think it can definitely handle cooler tone keycaps well! Thank you so much ☺️🫶
Sounds so good! What switches did you pair with the keycaps?
These are an older Akko Cream Yellow that were replaced with the new box stem version!
@@cloudnoela Awesome, thank you!
where do you get your keyboard pad, it look so pretty !
Thank you! My large deskmat is from an artist @Leendoodles, but it's sold out in most places now! She has a few other celestial themed designs though, such as Oracle!
Those keycaps look clean ❤
I think so too! Some people might think the alphas are kinda cluttered, but I think it's nice :)
Are the wisterias good? Have you tried nimbus? If yes how do they compare to the wisterias?
keyboard • zoom75 TIGA in strawberry ice cream 🍧 keycaps • osume sakura hiragana + novelties 🌸 Keygeek is another great switch manufacturer who’s got their smoothness down 👌 They made the popular Oat switches found in the thocky Evo80, as well as the super smooth Blue Cheese switches! This Lila switch is another great switch: very satisfying, almost full travel (3.8mm) key press. 🥰 Thanks Unikeys for sending these over for me to try! I love them! You can use code ‘Noela’ for 7% off your order 🫶🌸 also featured is the P11 Keycap puller from Kemove ! It’s very affordable and out today! ☺️ I have it linked under keeb accessories on my beacons page as well~
how does the princess switched compare to the ktt ku switches?
@@ItsRiz_ haven’t tried a KTT “KU” switch specifically? But I’ve tried several from KTT, like Kang Whites, Rose, Hyacinth and Sea Salt Lemon. Alongside Princess, all are pretty popular and well liked as budget switches.
Sounds amazing 🙌🤤 What stabs did you use?
just the stabs that came with the unit! :) My favourite in general are Maiz clip ins, though I haven't tried TX before~
thats not creamy, sounds more clacky
@@sethdarren hmm there’s a mixture of deep tones and some clackier high tones, but I wouldn’t call this clacky irl! Sound is subjective though, I can see why this might be clacky to you ☺️
Question: does the case have a matte-feel finish or just feels like regular aluminum? If i change my mind and want to change the colors with anodizing it cant have any finish :D
@@C4yne it is spray coated, not anodized!
im buying one, does it use screw in or plate mounted stabs? im new to keyboards so this might be a stupid question since im buying the barebones version cause im building this as my second keyboard
@@rimi-nh8yu hey! Even barebones comes with stabilizers already! They take plate mount only ☺️
@@cloudnoela thanks so much, nice video btw!
pp plate all foams and gasket mount scratched my brain so good
What type of keyboard is membrane or mechanical?
mechanical!
What kind of keyboard is it?
I have only ever shown mechanical keyboards :)
I bought lofree flow lite for 90€ included shipping, because of you Video. Everything paid, but Lofree did not even shipped it out
Hey!! I'm glad my video is able to help make a decision! :) Hmm It says 1st batch should ship in November so we'll have to see. To be honest, it's pretty common in the keyboard community for brands to be late when it comes to shipping out products, but Lofree has been around for quite some time, so fingers crossed they can stick to their timelines!
Hi , what is keyboard name
Keychron Q6 Max! There is also a plastic version Keychron V6 Max, that is more affordable. (Q6 is fully aluminum)
what switches is this? bsun star blue?
Correct! Not sure if they're sold separately, but I don't think so. BSUN in general makes very smooth, thocky switches though!
Where did you buy languag keycaps?
@@oscar407 they are called keycaps with sublegends! So these one have Japanese (hiragana) sublegends. ☺️ these specific ones are from Unikeys or AliExpress!
@@cloudnoela Thanks :)
$43 (Aula) vs $57 (Monka) here. The aluminium build is definitely a selling point.
should I get this or the Royal Kludge RK R75?
What plate and foam did you use? I bought a tiga
@@rengokusats in this video it’s gasket mounted with FR4 plate and all standard foam! I did try a bunch of other configurations but they all lean towards muted! Most muted is poron foam.
hey'! thats look like aula f75!!!
aluminium case)
woah! thats deep
are those switches mmd princess v2 linears?
@@ItsAze24 yes!
stock switches?
@@ItsAze24 yes!
@cloudnoela wow! Nice job ❤️ love your videos 🌸
Great Sound Test! but i would like to ask which one is more clacky , neo75 cu or neo80 im looking for either this two . The layout is not a problem to me :)
I have both, however I went all foams in my Neo80! I do think the Neo75 CU is the clackiest, where even all foams sounds much clackier than neo80 all foams. Hope this helps <3
Do you have a preference between the Zoom 75 Tiga or Evo 80?
Not sure why more people aren’t talking about it, but the Zoom75 TIGA leans into a more muted and quiet typing experience no matter the configuration (all foams or none, and even with alu plate) vs the Evo80 comes quite thocky and resonant ☺️ both are great, just depends on what you’re looking for! I would keep both, using Zoom75 TIGA as a quieter work board haha
@@cloudnoela 🥰🥰 thank you for the thoughtful answer!
What is the little spacer tool that you show in the vid called?
I think you might be asking about the plate fork! It’s an optional tool and usually used for going foamless on softer plates (I showed it with pp plate). If you use foam or use a harder plate like Alu, probably won’t need it :)
@cloudnoela yep! That's exactly what I was talking about. I ordered this board with ALU and PP plates. Thanks for responding 🙂
keycaps look awesome!
Thank you!! I leaned into the copper orange 🧡
lol i have lofree flow, not it, but it's better than others low profile ^^,. i also have nuphy air v2 so i say it
I haven't tried that many low profiles, but Nuphy Air was one of the first ones I got and I returned it so fast because I did not like the quality of it! But I do like a lot of what Nuphy's been coming out with in more recent years :)
On AliExpress i saw a store that has an option with blue cheese 35g also!
@@pizza1278 oh wow that’s suuuuper light! Good to know though 😊
Great video
Thank you! 🥰
What plate was this? Pom or pp?
in this video is alu! I have a full sound test video for Alu and Polyproplene plate. :)
It's alu? All the footage of you assembling was a pp plate...
@@K1LO_ wait you’re right!! Apologies, I filmed the alu plate first for my longer video so I got it mixed up. 🥹 I checked my footage for you - this is PP plate, bottom mount and all foams ☺️
