NASA Spec3 Santa's Toy Run @ Road Atlanta, race #2, 12.08.24
Sunday morning race, cool weather made for some fast lap times. There was lots of traffic to work through since we started behind SpecE30 and Spec Miata, but that makes for some fun racing. Unfortunately the race ended under red flag conditions as a car had flipped onto it's roof (driver was ok).

Tight race with Taylor Johnson, crossed the line.004 ahead of him, what a finish! I had no idea who won when we crossed the line but it was a blast.

It is rare that a lap record is set so late in a race like this, but having to deal with lap traffic at the beginning of the race delayed the opportunity. Luckily the track was clear enough a lap before the race ended to reset the record that was only a day old. Photo: Politipixs

This lap was less than ideal, but fresh Toyos and cool weather can do wonders to mask a few mistakes. This was a reset of Andy Schmidt's 1:47.5 lap record from 2023, and it happened that both myself and Andy broke the old lap record on this same lap (Andy recorded a 1:47.3). Enjoy.

Conditions on an early Sunday morning in mid-October come together for a record setting lap that bested the previous lap record by whopping 6/10ths (marked as unofficial since this wasn't posted in a race session).

Carnage at the end. Pile-up in rear-view around 19:20 mark, then a solid money-shift on the ensuing restart. We ended up swapping the head off of a donor car overnight and ran the race on Sunday. Fun times!

I came up on a great 4 car Honda Challenge battle during the NASA Northeast Saturday race and decided to play camera car for a handful of laps. It was great fun watching these guys dice it up and navigate some traffic in the mist of their battle. Enjoy!

One lap before catching the Miatas is crazy. Northeast does the same stuff. Use two pace pace cars and put the Miatas at the back!!!

Just realized that this race was the last race for my old ChampCar team (H&F Racing #710). The car - a '89 fox body Mustang - was destroyed @T5 - T6.

Hey random question but where did you get the rear vision mirror and mounts from? Looking for one like that for my E36 race car
Long time ago but I believe these are Longacre products, they sell the mirror and long mounting brackets.

I think so. I had to check up a couple times trying to make a pass. I was in the blue h2 integra and saw this guy get run off. Always hesitant to pass them lol

nice driving! i was in your group, i have the white brz that held you up a little on your 5th lap lol. im not sure what your goal for recording is but maybe try spot metering to get a better view of outside
+subiebui Ha, thanks, no worries. I held up the two black corvettes and whatever that red thing was a few times. Thank you for the tip with the gopro, I'll definitely use that next time.
