A Look Inside 1984 and Brazil
RIP John Hurt 1940 - 2017 and Chris Cornell 1964 - 2017
If you want some explanation as to why I am signing off here you go. My life was very complicated this past year both medically and personally. I had to take care of an inflammation problem and very recently my family has been going through a tough time so my focus has been on them. And to be honest I have not seen very many films new or old that have motivated me to make a video. Film as an art form is getting dangerously stale and repetitive, sure there are a couple of indies that pop up once and a while but other than that I am just getting bored with whats getting produced. And then there is what RUclips has become, the way the si...

In the beer and hot dog seen they don't react until Ray say two. And the brother in law did see the players after the girl was resuscitated. So I feel the theory still stands.

Mann is a ghost so to speak, just as the players were. It’s part of Ray’s story, Mann being the journalist that wrote about those players.

Valid to ask the question but no. Field of Dreams is a story of redemption. Joe, Ray, Ray’s dad, Moonlight, and Terrence. Terrence’s redemption story is to write again. This is why he says it would make quite a story if he has the courage to go through with it [going into the corn]. Ray’s willingness to do absurd things earns other’s redemption too - Terrence, Moonlight, Joe, and his dad. Moonlight, Joe and dad are dead, so their redemption is realized by helping Ray navigate his. Terrence earns his shot at redemption by simply saying yes to a baseball game. It opens his heart to wonder again. And that’s when he sees the message in left field. He was suddenly willing to do similarly extreme things as Ray and that would lead to finding redemption as a writer again.

I was the cameraman who shot most of the interviews for the DVD release. After Mr. Robinson completed his interview, I asked him if Terrence Mann died by walking into the corn. Phil just smiled at me and said it was up to me to decide. So Terrence wasn't dead during the movie, but it is possible that his invitation was his entry into death. Or not.

I think Terrance Mann died old and alone in his apartment and no one knew he was dead because he was such a recluse. When Ray knocks on his door, none of the neighbors have seen Terrance in awhile because he keeps to himself. So his ghost is haunting the apartment and when Ray shows up he is an angry poltergeist threatening to beat him to death with a baseball bat. When Ray is not frightened by his threats their friendship between ghost and human begins. Sort of like the relationship between Woopi Goldberg and Patrick Swayze's characters in the movie Ghost. In the hotel room Ray asks Terrance does he know he's missing? Of course he's missing! He's dead!

Great movie. Baldwin in HILARIOUS SNL sketch, he is the same character as I. Play - “winters breath” sent from Kris Kringle ( Murray) to talk to the elves (salesmen) about their disastrous performance. You must see this, showcases what an amazing actor Baldwin is - plays tragedy and comedy in the same exact performance . He is unjustly accused in Rust case.

It was a flop for several reasons, but the key reason why is this was no longer a relvant entity for modern day audiences. I remember walking past a department store every day that was full of Dick Tracy T-shirts in the summer of 1990. No one wanted them. Most people under the age of 40 probably never followed Dick Tracy. His glory days were long past him, even though the strip was still published. It would be like making a big budget Dondi movie. Dondi was in everyone's Sunday paper, but who the hell read it? And if the kids did read Dick Tracy in their newspaper, then they knew Tess and Dick were married, that there was a Junior, and so on. It was a dumb idea for 1990. And the songs were not 1990 songs either. The only hit out of the project, and it's a stretch to tie it in, was Madonna's "Vogue" single. But if people who are Dick Tracy or detective film fans want to watch it, then that's fine. But this movie was supposed to be the blockbuster hit of 1990 and I'm just explaining my take on why it wasn't.

I always thought he was alive, but when the ghosts asked him to join them, it was basically a nice way to say it’s his time to die and pass into the afterlife, but when Roy wants to go, they tell him he’s not invited because Ray is still young and it’s not his time.

I wondered about it years ago but then the hot dog and brother-in-law... then again, if recently deceased he may simply have been more presently manifested... dunno. (don't actually believe in ghosts but story-telling has it's own rules, and Mann being a ghost doesn't break the rules... neither does a live man going to baseball heaven... magic surrealism. Ray going and coming back- that would have broken the rules...) Doc stepping off the field was the best moment for me... stepping off with no regrets... his own heaven was his wife...

If he was dead, then he didn’t become a ghost until he gets dropped off by Ray. After that scene he only interacts with really old people, and the one older lady even commented to him when he compliments her on her writings, she says he was as well in past tense. He also interacts with Ray’s family and brother in law but the brother in law doesn’t believe this is him. The writing in this movie was great in order for a theory like this to be a true possibility. Their is enough room in the story for this to be true and him to be alive the whole time to also be true.

Im sorry, fanboys but both versions of Alien 3 are a complete and utter dogs**t. They destroy all three main characters in Aliens. They replace Newt and Hicks with the most unlikable characters imaginable. Heck, some of them even try to assault Ripley. And we're supposed to care if these prisoners live or die? No f**king way. In the same movie, Ripley spreads eagle for the first ex-con she sees. WTF? They showed absolutely no originality by making an Alien born from an ox. Imagine if the xenomorph was running around stabbing its victims with its horns, before eating them. No matter what, the idea that they had one or two alien facehuggers on board the Solaco is RIDICULOUS
