1) Science has discovered many weakness in human psychology. Most people have never studied psychology and have no idea of how vulnerable they are to the power of suggestion. Now AI systems can be trained to exploit those same weaknesses for the benefit of those that own the tech. 2) There is no 'us'. The idea of collective action is being undermined by technology. We think we can make laws that will govern the tech, but that is a myth. The owners of the tech can buy and sell entire governments. The USA is no exception. 3) This only ends when there is a sufficiently destructive world war III. This war is inevitable since the rush for dominion of AI will break the global security order.

Here's how it's going to happen. Right now we have robots that are as dumb as brain damaged cockroaches. Human intelligence is going to continue to decline until they surpass us. Our floors will be clean but we'll starve ourselves to death because we put brawndo on plants. BTW, This isn't satire.

Important, we must rethink our rule set; what if every moment of speeding for the last ten years will be extracted from the phone operator database; and we due to security lock in interpretation; if we one accidentally is working as an authoritative already … yiyex, if former colleagues won’t put one behind bars they may loose their salary (also controller by AI..). As a police one might get a life sentence..

Not everyone in the world is fortunate enough to have access to hospitals like the one in France that specializes in rare cancers. The AI can help in diagnosis, treatment, finding relevant research even in a language that isn't your mother tongue. AI is not yet at a level where it can replace an expert koryphäe, but it is better than no doctor or even a tierd/stressed/bad doctor. If AI keeps improving at the current rate, it may surpass medical experts soon.

Interesting topic. I still use old fashioned meditation and books for mindfulness to manage anxiety. The book 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels is a nice little book I enjoy when anxious.

I think if nobody works in the family, one doesn’t need to pay a nanny. The same goes for taking care of elderly parents etc … Geoffrey Hinten mentioned plumbing as a safe bet … but if all the lawyers,doctors, coders etc go into plumbing … that would take price for that service down to zero. Well … let’s hope that our elites want to share ownership of their machines & companies … ( fingers crossed …:-)

This was great. David is at least a few months if not a couple years ahead of most when it comes to how this will play out and how it will work.

To me, I don't see how all of the jobs won't be all taken by AI / Robots when the robots are more dexterous and can do any cognitive task that a human can do. It will free up time to allow us to work on ourselves and relationships with others. Now doing that will be up to us.

Theres hardly any normal people using these systems other than using it as an extended google. All I have seen so far are these systems feeding the already tech savy criminals who are going into party time overdrive with being able to automonosly scam, phish, and create confusion. Nothing good has even come, and only the bad is growing.
