One of the nicest and safest parks in Dublin. Even during pitch-black winter nights, it's pretty busy with people out strolling, or walking their dogs. The river walk is beautiful.

If you're in Dublin and it's raining, drive out to Sandycove because there is a great chance that the sun will be shining. Happened to me all the time when I last lived there. Bloody magic. And it's one of my favourite spots in the city.

I went to school in Dun Laoghaire (CBC Monkstown, 1979-80). Used to hang out around Killiney, Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock, Dalkey, Sandycove. Lovely area. It's better than Torbay. But, why on earth did they ever need Martello towers in Dublin?
