So basically connect a JST plug to the battery voltage. Seems simple enough. For some reason I was thinking that JST plug was the BEC voltage which wouldn’t really make any sense. That does make me wonder what the point of the Rx wire is though

Vmax is not a high speed bike it is built for stop sign to stop sign racing. In a Quarter mile Either bike will have a chance to win but in a 1/8 mile track the V Max will always win

I am using a dumbo Rc remote and receiver, I have tried all the spare 4 channels and I still cannot get the lights to function. I did what you did with my aftermarket esc to the letter. Any ideas? So frustrating

Wow really? You really can't be that dumb dude. You know you can buy the plugs and pins or omg sit down for this You can even buy the right plug for less money then the one you just ruined. And even crazier you can buy a kit on Amazon for 20 bucks that you can make custom lengths and plug ends with free shipping

They make a JST (red 2 wire plug) to SERVO (black 3 wire plug) adapters.

I still have not found a video of someone explaining how to do this correctly. I had hopes for this one but nope.

what about the: Low and high beam brightness settings and Fully functioning brake lights that work in both forward and reverse direction.. i think turn signals too???

I switched out the esc (AXE sys.) and receiver (Sanwa) on the TRX4 bronco 2021. I want to use the light system for that particular truck. Would it be the same hook up?

Thanks I have a different ESC but the base of this video helped me set it back up to get my light kit going! And tested my set up on 3S and had no issue.

Be careful doing this, I did and it was fine using 2s lipo but when I used 3s my light port went up in smoke!

I remember in 1985 when the Vmax came out I was riding a 1984 KX 80 and I thought the Vmax what is the bees knees baby.

That Vmax wouldn't be able to beat even a stock 2006 ZX14. They are great muscle cruisers but that's 700lbs of cruiser...then again I suppose its up to the rider.

I have the exact same esc, are you running the esc at 7.4 volts ? would that fry the mini servos ?

Ive had four gen1 Max's, A moster power bike, not very fast top end. I only ever got full taps to 190Km/hr on all of them. They were all std with V boost. I had to have all of them with braided covers over the from brake pipes as the darn things just couldnt stop. Loved them all, and have given up bike so i can go into old age with all my limbs intact. Still miss the road and spen a lot of time pinion riding with guys on you tube now.

Dead stop quarter mile going with the VMAX. The Kawasaki won't be able to keep its front end on the ground from a dead stop while the VMAX rider will be wide open from the start. From a dead stop my first gen 2006 Vmax could have taken that 14 in the quarter! Two bikes that push 10's in the quarter will almost always come down to the riders! I personally have never lost to a sport bike rider with my first gen, to include the H2. Although i have to admit that my bike is not stock, modified exhaust, transmission and intake giving better sifting and about 10 more hp! (tested to give 141 hp to the rear wheel)

Hey. What does the single red wire do that plugs into the receiver? I was wanting to use a spektrum receiver in a sport with lights. It would be nice to run a on and off switch too.

Shit mine just went through an update for the firmware on the app which is on my iPhone 8+ and it’s for my Traxxas E-Revo 1/8th scale 1st generation or 1.0 older style truggy. I have the stock brushless Mamba Monster 2200 KV motor with mod 1 25/36 gearing and on 6S Lipo. For some odd reason after the update finished it said to shut my remote and car off. Keep in mind I’m also using a Bluetooth chip without any telemetry on my E-Revo and the remote is also the same as yours except without the fancy switches. I have the TQI 2.4 GHz stock rtr 2-Channel radio with the two set and menu red colored buttons at the top of the remote, the 50/75 trigger button and the TSM and steering knobs. For some reason after the update and turning my remote and e Revo off and then back on I got a rapid flashing red light that would just keep beeping and beeping fast. I shut my car off again and the remote then turned them back on ...... same shit. I called Traxxas they had me re bind my TQI receiver and TQI remote...... I have throttle but don’t have any steering at all. I tried what you did while the driving setup menu was open and I still couldn’t steer. I didn’t even hear a damn noise coming from neither of my stock Traxxas 2075 servos. The guy named Cory on the phone with Traxxas said to send in my receiver and remote and to go for the Power setup deal..... I forgot what he called it lol....... he said 67-70 bucks total. He’s claiming my receiver is bad and having miscommunication. I dont know what the fuck is going on..... I was going to do a speed run today.

It's not about speed, it's about acceleration VMAX G2 eats sports bikes. Speed go buy a porche or stick to a track. At least a max can cruise and 1/4 mile.

Funny!! I just watched a video where a Gen 1 spanked a ZX14 in the quarter quite easily. Riders make a difference when it's so close

My 8s xmaxx will not steer unless I have the multifunction on 100% if i take it off it drives back and forward but won't steer does anyone know what's is wrong?
