One of the greatest albums ever made! One of the greatest guitarist who ever lived!

@@DamonWoodGuitarLessons That album played a significant role in my life at the time, and then, strangely, fortuitously, by serendipity and sheer happenstance, again decades later when I found myself playing drums on stage, sitting in with an old friend's band, playing Cause We Ended As Lovers, then again playing rhythm guitar accompanying that same guitarist on another stage doing Cause We Ended As Lovers. The girl I was dating in 1975 'lent' me Blow By Blow, that tune was 'our song', she (Mary with long red hair) was killed in a car wreck a month or so afterward (18 years old), the album has always been a treasure, the songs etched in my mind like Beatle songs, but I never foresaw playing drums or guitar on 'our song' on stage in my fifties!

It's definitely tricky!

In the lesson I show how you could do it with bends also. Several ways to do it. Still haven't gone back and seen how SRV really did it.

Stevie did bends in the recording but would use slides live, Paul Davis dose a video about it. Very hard to play at full speed in time.

@@APlagueOfButterflies Really? I'm glad I got it right! One thing I noticed was that Tony has doubled a lot of those parts and panned them left and right. He'll do one a little different than the other like when he starts a solo on the same notes but then they move into different directions and sound great on top of each other. Dude is a riff monster.

@@Daretobeyourself You got it! My pleasure. I really have always loved this one. I also find it very mysterious. For instance, I didn't know about the tuning thing for years. That explains how those notes sounded so much more sinister and heavy. The balls to change tempo like that! That's why Black Sabbath will always be known as THE heaviest rock band of all time. Heh heh, that's just my opinion.
