Among the many game releases of 2020 was Dreams, a platform for creating your own interactive experiences. Some of these are good, some are bad, and some are even worse. This is the Dreams experience, three years on. Sorry this took so long to make. I've been really busy irl and have also been procrastinating way too much. Do not expect the latter to change. Have you ever been listening to a song from video game, but something about it just wasn't right? If so, then that was the work of SiIvaGunner, one of the most widespread but least known channels on RUclips. Today, we take a deep dive into SiIvaGunner's history, it's memes, and much more. A Terrible Guide to Machine Events in Deep Rock Galactic
OMG I never heard of this universally well known RUclipsr my whole life. It took me 384892638382738 years to have heard of this guy! Not as hard to know as that Beast Money Giver Jimmy Two Shoes.
Come on, if you see the artist name last, it cannot be real.
real

GRAND DAD?
Lol I actually watched the original GRAND DAD video the day it came out (discovered vinesauce a few months prior to that video's release and was a total rabid fan back then) but I didn't pick up on siIvagunner until way too long after it had become a huge thing. The funniest thing in the video was actually this one part where Jar Jar Binks is in a bootleg DDR game for the NES. But Grand Dad went on to be the meme for whatever reason.
I just finished completing the event Ebonite mutations but it doesn't let me interact with the cube. What should I do?
That's probably because you don't have any blank matrix cores. The best way to get them is by completing the weekly core hunt assignments or by completing Deep Dives.
This was a great video. One thing I noticed though, you have a lot of noise / buzz on your mic that's especially noticeable when it's just you talking. It sounds like electrical interference. Could be a lot of things that could be causing it, good luck.
So I hadn't really figured out noise reduction when I made this, but I think I have it down for the vid I'm working on now.

0:35 my favourite song. EOTWS_Variation1.
I always tough tha name was SiLvaGunner and not SiivaGunner
ive seen this channel before lol, i commonly watch it
We will see how Wayward Realms turns out. From the devs of Daggerfall !. But this sounds like alot of fun as well !. LNF better have millions of weapons !. It will probably kill GW2 for sure !.
one of my favorite rips is final battle (cave story) not only is a reference to my favorite composer but also is one of the my favorite song of that artisit
i'm pretty sure the first giivasunner upload in january 2016 was the pokemon rse battle theme with an undertale melody, not the flintstones theme
According to the guy who made GiivaSunner it was the flinstones one. That seems to be the general consensus but I swear I've heard the rip you're talking about.
@@froginaboxVEVO I even remember how when the melody kicked in, the pokemon logo changed to "undermon". I remember it quite well, I'm surprised if i misremember it
nvm, that was the route 110 one. i remember now
@@MilkJugA_ Ah, gotcha. I'll check that rip out in a bit.
I know him
Just spent 10 minutes figuring out your binary at the beginning of the vid. Thanks 😂
when the game realizes i want to make a town somewhere and make a inn/restaurant/bar/shop in the town called "the Stuttering Froge (or Badger, or whatever race i chose to play as, or something else kinda witty, i stutter so if there will be voice chat the place's name should be a fair warning lol)
I'll be a proud patron of the Stuttering Frog :)
@@froginaboxVEVO Thanks lol
i feel as if the nms soundtrack is an extremely underappreciated masterpiece, and so is the game. When i first got the no mans sky i didnt expect much, but after some time playing it got me really interested in astronomy and similar topics. However, later on i started thinking really deeply about humanity, and getting really intimidating astrophobic thoughts. Ever since then, about a year ago, im still very interested. The soundtrack only made the pondering even more often, as the music made me feel some sort of emotions i cant explain. It just gives me the idea that nothing matters, as we are so small compared to everything else that exists. Isnt it scary? Probably the most well rounded game and OST ive ever heard in my life.
The SilverGunners old channel was Gilvasunner.
sorry i dont do hype bye
Siiva is my favorite kind of creator, no attention, no drama, just straight up high quality content
if its online and we can have a base if the base isnt set for you when you spawn in and if you can make your own base anywhere how would griefing work hopefully something like some minecraft survival survers have where you can claim a bunch of land some how so people cant grief
So is Doom.
yes i actually have heard of this famous youtuber.
6:49 and that's why you should always make a life support thingy that makes you go up
Chill expectations this time gents looks good from what ive seen
What is the second song?
End of the World Sun
'Promo SM'
I think regarding fast travel you should only be allowed to fast travel to bases and large poi's
I wonder how they're going to do POIs. Obviously we have the big stone spheres, but those are probably story locations based on the logo concept art.
15:48 So.. considering there's no mention of these supposed "bad events", I am gonna guess that they were mostly harmless to people with a brain and a sense of humor but since everyone needs to be offended by everything now, I am guessing that's why they're "bad" now. All it takes is one person who wants to stirr up drama and the masses have to take that one person seriously instead of dismissing them as they should, lest they be consindered "intolerant". I could be wrong and the events could genuinely be horrible, but I am guessing not since, if that was the case instead of just people desperate for drama, then the channel wouldn't still be up.
I understand that I really screwed up this segment of the video, leaving viewers with little to no context. For that, I apologise. This was my first video of the kind, and I wasn't sure how to approach the issue - especially since it came up fairly late into the scriptwriting process. I understand this is long-winded, but allow me to explain my reasoning: I will have to disagree with you on a few points. First, I did not intend to start any "drama," and nor did I (to my knowledge). I explicitly stated that SiIvaGunner moved past posting content that was offensive and commended them for it. I did not encourage anyone to take action against the team for past controversies, as they have evidently learned from past actions. To answer your statement about dismissing the events or "taking them seriously," my opinion is that although they should not define our entire perspective of the project, they should at least be recognised as part of the larger picture. As my video was intended to be a history of SiIvaGunner, I felt obligated to at least acknowledge the unsavoury part of the channel's past. To clarify, I will list some of the controversial incidents and explain why personally feel they were reprehensible, even if used as jokes: First were events depicting footage of the September 11th terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre from 2001. That was the joke. Simply footage of people dying. The issue itself lies not in the fact that the footage was used, as it can be in a historical or informative context, but in the fact that it was just used for the shock factor. This historical event has been used as a subject of dark humour, and in some cases has been used as a basis for effective political satire in mainstream media. This event was not that. There is no case that this was satire, as it makes not even the slightest reference towards the broader social or political circumstances or results of the event. As I said before, this was simply footage of people dying. I do not see the humour. Second were two channel events "celebrating" the birthday of Adolf Hitler. I do not think it is difficult to see why this was met with backlash and why I personally found it distasteful. As with the previous case, Nazism is frequently satirised. This channel event also contained little aside from the shock factor, which I maintain is a cowardly excuse for comedy. Most infamously was an incident where a video contained an image of a baby with a particular skin condition in which skin appeared to be peeling off the body. Again, I do not find this humorous as it is simply shock imagery. The video initially evaded moderation but was promptly taken down and the ripper removed from the team. The SiIvaGunner team also found the video to have been a deplorable act - not just me. While it certainly can be argued that these incidents were harmless in the grand scheme of things, that does not mean they should be dismissed. They were offensive for the sake of being offensive, and having "a brain or a sense of humour" does not change that. It is not a matter of everyone being offended by everything. Instead, it is one of maturity and responsibility, things SiIva has (in a notable capacity,) has managed to demonstrate.
@@froginaboxVEVO So the TL; DR is "People are MASSIVE pussies", got it.
@@froginaboxVEVO a) Because you are one. b) No, the entire thing is top down garbage enacted because said pussies (advertisers or otherwise) lobbied to get ToS changes and more "effective" enforcement. In the end, it all boils down to as I said.
Maroon Bells!
The circles are the moon cycles... really what planet do you live on!
I like that take! (though I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not) What makes you think that? And to answer your question, it's a planet somewhere in the vicinity of betelgeuse.
I'd just like to say the DMCA is a blight and a stain on our history.
that supermoon one though... real.
Only after uploading the video did I realise the clip fit perfectly for when Supermoon plays in-game
Supermoon slowed + reverb is my workout music
the fish ai joke is from 2011 e3 showcase for mw3
And MW3 2023 still doesn't have the E3 fish AI. For this reason above all others, it is a bad game. smh Activision.
Subscribed because you keep your speculation minimal and limit expectations
I think that big octopus wrecked their ship. They are all swimming away from the wreckage. Maybe sailing can be dangerous, but it's the only way to move heavy cargo? I'm wondering why someone would chose to sail when they could fly
well i’m assuming that if it is heavy cargo, it would be incredibly difficult to fly with a ton of heavy stuff, right?
Maybe it's really hard to get a dragon and ships are cheaper to make
Real
Ok, who wants to bet does bunnies will end up being some bloodthirsty maniacs in the lore? I am just speculating this based on what I know about Gek in NMS. But ok, on a more serious note, pulling off one big planet is a huge milestone. Just think of day and night cycles, those need to match across the entire planet, I have no idea how they pulled that off. So I have no doubt in my mind Sean really means it when he says this project is more ambitious than NMS. Just this one feature alone is actually really hard to pull off in network game. Other thing I am curious about is, like you mentioned fast travel, now it would definitely kill the experience, but then what happens when players want to share their builds and whatnot? I don't expect LNF to have stargate portals or anything like that, but there will probably be some way to fast travel across regions. Imagine you play with a friend and he invites you to check out their base and you're like, sure thing bro, be there in like four weeks if I catch the ferry on time. In one hand that'd be awesome, but on the other... it would kill the community. Also, one thing I didn't see anybody mention when going through this trailer is multiple players building houses, so we might actually get settlements that grow over time, this is something people have been trying to do in NMS as well with base merging and whatnot. So this might actually be something really cool.
i agree with you on the whole no fast travel kind of thing, but i’m assuming there’s some high speed mounts such as dragons and whatnot, and ships might be an option
Merry Christmas! Do you have a link or help us where we can see the concept art for Light No Fire? (around 27:15)
Yup! Right here: www.artstation.com/beaulamb I'll put it in the description as well. Edit: Merry Christmas to you as well!
Page says *Single-player/online* *Co-op?* sounds like a procedurally created world (kind of a Minecraft/Valheim) The video does say a Procedural Earth. hope it has Procedural dungeons. LOL and this video is the first I've heard of the game thanx. Edit: It definitely looks like an upgraded NMS engine.
Incredibly well done trailer breakdown.
I'm hoping for more challenge. In 100 hours on hardest difficulty permadeath save in No Man Sky I basically have "finished" game with maxed out gear and no real challenge or threats that makes it kind of boring.
Action will be their biggest weakness. They need Fromsoft to send a few consultants.
I don't thing they're going to aim for Fromsoft-level combat, but they could definitely learn a thing or two. Even something as simple as a dodge roll could make combat way more fluid and challenging, instead of the clumsy 'slowly walk around and shoot spongey enemies' NMS has. In general, gameplay just needs to feel more active if it's going to improve on the feel compared to NMS.
why are people acting like this game is about to come out?
Like I said in the video, there is no confirmed release date and I highly doubt a release in the near future. I would not expect a release until Q3 2024 at the very least.
Sean Murray said he didn't want to have a long time from announcement to release like nms
My goodness, at last someone who understands figure of speech and doesn't interpret everything literally. Spot on so far ... I'll continue watching.
