A planned movie version starring Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford would have been Phan-tastic. But the sumptuous productiom starring Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler, and co-written and produced by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber was as bright as the chandelier that figures in the famous disaster.

I bought the album, it flows like a story, u don’t miss anything except seeing it. Its worth getting.

It's a terrible shame that no one thought to record the Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford Broadway version for a DVD option. I'd have loved to see them in the entire show. I know Sarah acted with other Phantoms, but Michael is THE definitive Phantom!

It’s absolutely amazing how Michael can convince you that he’s Frank Spencer and then go on to convince you that he’s the Phantom. He played both these roles so perfectly. What a genius!

This is the best version for sure. I really loved Emmy Rossums performance as well. Gerard is a great actor but his voice just feels comparatively weak next to Michael Crawfords. It makes more sense plot wise that Christine’s voice would’ve been developed by someone as talented as MCs phantom.
