Replacing the cabin air filter on the 2014 e63 amg. Straight forward job, nothing complicated. Remove 3 torx screws holding the underneath plastic, gently pull down to unclip, remove light power by pressing gray tap, on the cabin temp sensor rotate it counter clockwise to loosen and pull out(kind of like replacing a light bulb) Remove entire black plastic and filter assembly is in the back left...

13mm socket, 1/8 pin remover, flat head hammer, brake grease/silicone, 17mm socket to remove wheel bolts. Remove 5 wheel bolts, remove wheel, turn caliper towards you. Remove top pin, remove bottom pin, remove pad shim,remove 13mm bolt in the middle. Use 1/8 pin remover to knock sleeve out. Use flat head between brake pad and rotor and push against pad to compress pistons. Do this on both sides...

Very common issue with n54 and N55 engines, possible with other bmws. Oem line is plastic which becomes brittle and cracks leaving you stranded by a coolant leak. @@markreger7677 yes, but rears have electronic e brake, so need to go into menu and set to service mode

I just did mine and i belief those clips for the bottom of the pads is to stop the pads from making a clunking sound when you brake ...I think .
Might be. The car is my sister in laws and I see it often and it has no noise what so ever, so they could be shims of some sort. Again I didn't use them and all is fine

All parts can be found on fcp euro. Hood on this car is wrapped in clear ppf so I was not worried about scratching. I forgot to mention that you can remove the brake reservoir cap to relieve some pressure and possie remove some brake fluid oil if needed
You have got to be kidding me. I mean seriously what the gdmfs, you skip right past separating the two parts! So did it not work out the way you explained or are we supposed to believe you had another reason for just skipping past the most important part of separating these two pieces. Maybe it was so easy and quick that you felt like we didn't need to know? Or did you somehow mess it up because of another unexplained mysterious skip? No video, I mean an absence of any video, would have been better than what you left me with. Unbelievable!😡
You try filming with one hand and working with the other! It comes apart as I explained in the video. I have done it hundreds of times on this type of microwave the same way. What exactly are you stuck on?
Torque specs for inner tie rod?
Just make sure it's tight. It will eventually stop when it can't be threaded more

Thanks for this video. My GE combo already has what you are referring to as the new design agitator. I'm trying to raise the agitator up just enough to get out a shower curtain liner that got stuck underneath it. I have a socket extension and already undid the 11mm bolt, but I cannot get the agitator to lift up. It seems stuck on. Any suggestions?
You are welcome. Wiggle it left and right and try to free it up. Spraying some penetrating oil inside the agitator should help dissolve the soap scum build up. Can also pour some clr inside there to break up the soap scum

If you have to watch videos on how to do brakes then I’d highly suggest to take it too a garage or a more knowledgeable person. Brakes aren’t anything to be taken lightly. If you don’t know how to do them then don’t do them
Replacing this part didn't fix my SRS light. Any recommendations?
4 possible points. Seat belts, seat belt connectors on seats, drivers airbag or passanger airbag. If you get it scanned by a good scanner it will tell you exactly which one it is. You can also try the following. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF and wait for 10 seconds. 2. Bridge OBD-II connector pins 9 and 4 with a paperclip or a suitable short length of wire. 3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II). The SRS indicator light comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off. Then it will indicate the DTC. 4. Read the DTC. There will be a set of slow flashes, followed by a set of fast flashes. 5. Turn the ignition switch OFF and wait for 10 seconds. Then remove your paperclip jumper (or wire) from the OBD-II connector.
Complicated! I would have to hire a person to do this fix! Frustrating, because the dryer is only 1 year old like you said. Design flaw!
Those are two different parts the splines are different sizes the new one is smaller than the old one because I can fit the old one in older models…

Than you so much. Every other video shows that just taking off the trim panel reveals the handle screws. Mine did not , so had to go through all the other steps you outlined. Don't know why I keep buying GE stuff. My door handle was plastic as were the holding bracket. Both of which broke. I got a brushed nickel handle from Wal Mart online for $7 delivered. It looks really nice on the microwave. Thanks again for the instructions.
Thank you for this video it’s exactly what I need to do to my door and your video is the only one I’ve found that has actually helped. Mine has so many streaks I hate the way it looks. The only problem is for some reason I can’t remove the door like you did, it does slide up but doesn’t detach. I have a GE JVM3162DJ2BB. It looks just like the one in the video but I can’t take it off that way. Do you think I can do this with the door still attached?
You have to open the door completely, and lift up and out. The top comes out first, than the bottom

The trick is not shown in the video. The upper panel does not "pull off". You remove the screws (mine had 3 screws) on top, then SLIDE the upper panel to the left. If you pull straight out hard enough without first sliding to the left, you will break the retaining tabs. After removing the upper panel, then you can remove the door by lifting off the hinges.
How similar is this for the W213 E63s? 2017+ models? Do you use anti-squeal with these like you would on a conventional pad?
Anytime metal touches metal anti squeal needs to be used to prevent sqeeks and such, regardless of vehicle. Now for the pad replacement on the w213, if they are brembos which I think they are, it's the same concept. Even my 17yr old sentra that has brembos is literly the same concept in pad replacement

Having a rougher time than you with the situation I'm looking at it seems. Could not get the inner tie rod to unscrew at all. Our crows foot would slip off. We were putting a shit load of torque on it and it just would not go

Thank you - I did this with the crow foot sunex from Amazon...still was a hassle to be honest, but I'm glad I got it done myself. Better than paying the dealership...although I still had to pay for that alignment at the dealership...
Can get a alightment at pepboys for 60 bucks or any tire place. But glad it was able to help you.

They are tie Rods from rockauto. Ebay might have the crow feet. Amazon should easily have them. Multiple brands as well
