ah yes similar to the ourk build. very fun

No real advantage since classical age timing is the same as regular BO, you just run out of starting gold sooner. It does save you food so you could go for a FH but the power spike is negligible. Fast mythic into Fyr, with a dozen hersirs to re-cast the dwarven mine and grab winter harvest on the way up, maybe. Still loses out to Freyr because you have zero turtling advantage besides not needing to secure a second gold mine, but it could work. The armory upgrades not being at least 20% cheaper makes Thor a very bad choice for 1v1 imo.

It's pretty annoying how someone as good as you has a hard time against this annoying, relatively low skill strategy. The Minotaur are faster than chariot archers when they're running, it's pretty nuts.

Well done! I wonder on which AoM version this was played. When I've played on the latest edition (the one with the Chinese expansion) I was attacked at 6 min, and the attacks were non-stop. I could only fortify the middle TC with towers and walls and redirected the waves along the shore, where my naval units could kill them faster (because enemies were mostly melee and are all weak to pierce). One of the tougher missions in the game, for sure! 👍
