Very strange but the "Preferences" option is gone from my dropdown. I just updated today so something changed and I'm stuck with a white screen that I hate! I may go back to the previous version and skip this update.

I had an issue where the whole preferences menu couldn't be shown on my screen, and I couldn't change to dark mode as a result. I got around it by positioning the window so most of it was on my 1080p monitor, but some of it was on my 4k monitor, which let me see the whole menu on the 4k screen. I wonder if you could do the same thing by messing with your display settings on Windows. And no, before you say it, you can't resize the window or anything like that :(

I was wondering about supports, my X1C came with some support but it kept using the color I was printing with for supports instead of the support material

Helpful. thank you. Wondering also it would be nice to be able to force supports to start on the model, instead of on the buildplate. Seems sometimes the tree starts on the plate, sometimes on the model. Not sure exactly what determines the approach but I have a model with an open mouth - and now there's a tall tree from the base plate to the roof of the mouth. seems nicer to build the tree off the bottom of the mouth.

Does "multiple plates" literally mean you have an additional printer with another place or that it's just going to complete one print, have you remove it, and then begin the second print?

Thank you. Good information and easy to follow. One small nit - you keep saying 'splice'. For additive manufacturing you are calculating all of the layers to print and you are 'slicing', not 'splicing'.
