Thank you for a great list that includes films from virtually every decade since motion pictures began. I do get tired of "100 best" lists that seem to cover only the past 30 years or so.
Very Interesting list. I recently watched The Great Escape and loved it. I also added some of these movies to my list that caught my eye and I had never heard of them. The Vikings, anything with Kirk Douglas in it I'm sold. White Heat, Captain Blood and The Natural, I added these to my watchlist
Great list overall. You listed a few Terrance Malick films, but not The Thin Red Line(1998). Have you seen it? It’s a beautiful film that is also deep and heartbreaking.

Un conseil de français : regardes le cinema sud-coréen, de Hong-Kong, du Japon, d'Iran, d'Italie, d'Espagne, de Russie,.....et bien sur de France. Tu découvriras des chefs d'oeuvres inattendus et une autre façon de voir le monde et de le filmer. A bon entendeur
