Rockstar when it came to detailing horses: We must make every single thing is accounted for, especially the ball sack. Rockstar when it comes to playable John Marston: just slap Arthur build and call it a day.

Also rockstar made the cowboy outfit messy because they wanted to make it a different style to rdr1 which is dumb but yh plus johns rdr1 animations would take a long time to perfect and every cutscene would have to be remade to fit johns model

There is a reason for why John has Arthur’s body in the release version of the game Arthur’s torso would glitch onto johns and basically my guess is rockstar didn’t know how to fix it so they just got rid of it cause in 1.00 he has his npc model apart from his head hair closed vest and johns eyeballs would pop out so they had to lower his animations in the epilogue which is why he doesn’t look when he aims his eyes look dead etc also they were gonna fix all this and even remaster rdr1 but people kept complaining abt the gta trilogy and they cut his npc stubble because it would still be there when you selected a different moustache and would look ugly

Its funny because I didn't even play rdr1 until it came out on pc a while back and I Still wasn't able to tell between epilogue John and Arthur from certain angles in rdr2

“but they needed john to look more like arthur so they can get the animations, weight and hair growth systems to work! you’re overlooking this fact!” this bullshit was already debunked by the game’s files. john already has an accurate model with all that stuff working in the files. i’m so tired of seeing people regurgitate this nonsense, it’s simply not true. john has his own model, with barely any clipping issues and a fully functioning weight and hair growth system separate from arthur. this claim that they needed to downgrade john for certain things to function properly is bullshit. modders have already put this stuff from the beta in the game, and they work just fine

honestly you could’ve just played the cutscene from the first game when john kills the 3 mexicans that tried shaking him down and left it at that. i love that scene

He just looks like a british middle aged uncle/ not the character uncle without a hat and cleandshaved always keep level 5 or 6 hair and level 2 beard for him
