Meeting up with the best Longboarders I can find and creating awesome videos of them. Occasionally I'll even get out there myself but behind the camera is where my real passion lies at the moment. I've covered the last 5 Aussie longboard and NSW titles, the last 6 Noosa Surf Festivals along with many regional events like the Byron Malibu Classic, Loggerheads, Alexandra Headland and the National Old Mal titles down at Crescent Head. At a minimum, the people I shoot must be able to cross step to the nose and back again.

Highlights of round 1 of the UNDER 40 Greenough Division.
There were 5 heats held at intervals over 2 days, heats 3 and 4 were held in deteriorating conditions with moderate on shore winds so I have used less from these heats.

6 September 2024 "Show n Shine"" - collection of just over 200 vintage surfboards mostly from the 1960's and 1970's, held in the Park at Crescent Head on the first afternoon of the National Old Mal Titles, awards given to the best (or worst) board in a variety of categories. 31 August 2024 Coffs Coast Layla and Tamzen search out an isolated back beach for their early morning session on the single fins. At times gusty, the off-shore's made for clean faces peeling both left and right. Tamzen on a Gato "Chop op" 9"2 , Layla an O'Donnell 9"3 junior noserider model. Monday 19 August 2024 Coffs Coast Ray Gleave dropped down for a day. Small but fun waves, not many out. Riding his 12 foot Glider (22 3/4 wide, twin fin) Watch for his drop knee turns, a must for a board this size. 15 August 2024 Coffs Coast Archi and Dakota heading back to Noosa dropped in for a session at the local. A little bumpy and discoloured after the rain but still plenty of fun waves to be had. I remember watching surfers using longboards when surfing really took off in the 60s, long before boards got smaller. To me, longboard surfers look more graceful on the wave than short board surfers. Short board surfers all do the same moves and it's boring to watch.
