Videos depicting progress on my two 1963 Fairlanes. Nothing fancy, just learning the video thing and working on my cars in my shop.
OPG and timing gear swap
I dug into the engine and swapped the Oil pump and timing gears for a set of Boundary Billet gears.

Trans tunnel work and the drivetrain is back out. OPG and timing upgrades and bay work.

I got the measurements for the drive shaft tunnel, pulled the drivetrain and got some of the tunnel done. The engine is apart for billet oil and timing gears and a full clean up. The bay is ready for work as well.

I picked up an exhaust for a steal! I also got the trans tunnel started and have a shaft tunnel being curved. Soon, I'll be pulling it all out for final weld and paint. Then it's back together for good!
Just some shop work. Ceiling is done! Plans for the car.

Not much in the way of car work. I did change my plan for the trans tunnel but this is mostly shop work for quality of life. Finished the roof metal and now working the vents for the attic.
Driveshaft is in and I'm back to work on the car!

I finally got the right driveshaft and it fits!!! Seat and tunnel work commences. Things are working out fairly good.
I sold all my 4.6 stuff, got V bands for the exhaust, Fixed the radiator and more driveway work

Of course, still waiting on the driveshaft. I sold all my 4.6 stuff. I got the V bands for the exhaust. I also had the radiator lower fitting welded on. I'm straightening the fins and sticking with it. The 2 door is now on my homemade dolly cart and movable finally. It needed to move for me next job.......

I installed the seat and need to do something to get the driveshaft to fit. I also got the steering column installed loosely.

Just a small update on some things as I'm not able to get out in the shop much lately due to weather, broken body parts I need to have surgery on and other life things.

I got the PCM positioned and wiring started. Getting fittings and hoses for hydro boost setup. It's cold and I'm busy so I don't have much time for the car lately.
Test fit of the AC, Alt and PS.

I install the AC/PS/Alt and test fit it all. More work on the air box fitment as well.
Trans crossmember finished, intake tube work and sway bar needs more space.

Looking good David. I'm retired in Alabama and been following your build since your thread on Ford Muscle Forum. I've got a 63 2 door hardtop project waiting till I finish the wife's 76 Cobra II rebuild. Not sure if I'll go with a Coyote on mine, but it looks doable.
It's a lot of work but I think it's worth it. Thanks bud!
Can you modify the front crossmember to drop the engine and trans a bit lower? That might solve the trans tunnel height issues.
The engine and trans sit as low as I would want now. Any lower and they'll not be protected by the sub frames or the cross member as it is. Mustangs have deep tunnels. They don't have bench seats anymore so it's easy in them. I'll make this work. It'll take some metal and fab but it'll work. I think I may go to long tubes eventually too when I can find a set to try and fit. They all hand lower than the trans pan so that would put me at more of an issue and those headers are not easy to shorten. Thanks!
