this is exactly what i did but we actually killed each other at the end there after 60ish tries, tried regular casting, didnt work so i switched to the perfume bottles. I could consistently get through the first phase but some of his attacks in second phase feel undodgable...

i was using strength weapons until i got to this boss, than i switched to twin dragon blades bc it was hard to hit him without getting hit by his attacks

No great sewer even via magic quill....so there is that RNG..now what. Its hella confusing due to RNG system.

gs is a strange, but simple weapon. you are at the start of your journey, and will slowly learn to think like a high level gs main. to start with, every single attack of the gs hits hard, even the sweep, even the side slap, even the draw attack... especially the draw attack. the number one priority is not to land the tcs, but to touch the weakspot. general advices: -don't hesitate to charge other moves than tcs, especially the draw attack. charging for a split second also allows adjusting the angle (which could have been useful a couple of times). -learn and use the side slap after tackle to reposition or cancel recoveries. after tackle, if you press the guard button and the primary attack button, you will do the side slap. when charging tcs and the monster move, it's faster to tackle then side slap than to throw the attack. when you tackle through an attack, but can't hit the monster right away, you can either side slap into slinger burst to turn toward the monster, or side slap and sheath if the monster is too far. -try not to randomly start charging hoping the monster will come. everything starts with your draw attack. if you get close to the monster, draw attack right to the head, but the monster mvoe while you are charging, at least you'll have landed the draw attack. -roll out of your recoveries. if the monster might attack you during recovery, wait to roll the incoming attack, if you are ignored, just roll forward, the sheathing animation is faster from forward roll. -don't aim where the monster is, but where he will be by the time your attack goes off. it's surprisingly easy, look at one of the big pattern of a monster, one with a long recovery, and just think at the start "okay, i've seen this move a 100 times... where the fuck will his head end up when he's done?". you will fail of course, but just by trying you'll quickly get better at it. punishing monsters with predictions do not always mean sniping with a tcs, sometimes, it can be as small as starting your draw attack before the monster is here. every single time a monster does a move, his head will be somewhere at the end of that move, and maybe you can be here first, waiting with your own attack. -don't get hung up on missing attacks, or the monster not giving you opening. sometimes we fail, sometimes other factors make us miss, sometimes it's just not your turn to hit. it's okay. times when you're not dealing damage are integral part of your dps as a gs, and it can still compete with the dps of more nimble weapons like the long sword.

I know your are trying to help people but some of the information are wrong. You don't exactly have to get great sewer to proceed to gallery. Jester is main quest character in palace courtyard, and sewer just one of the dungeons they made u to fight a boss. just follow the exclamation mark and u will meet jester again and get the 2nd mask.
