    If I may: at marker 13.28 - the fare for 53.1000 is not shown, the data is only showing the first 3 rows and the last 3 rows - correct...??? 53.1000 is in the 4th row (or index 3)

      It's ment to be "Correspond to the symbol "z". In my native language, it the "z" is pronounced as "set", so it is just a silly mistake. Hope you enjoyed the video otherwise :)

      @@TMQuest "otherwise" 🙂 yes, i enjoyed it all, in fact i watched all videos at once, back-to-back. i just found out that sympy is something so important that it should be taught at school (after python, naturally) for STEM students. im not "just saying". i really mean it.

    Hello folks. Checking in on these videos to hammer home (into my thick skull) more of the Scikit-Learn material. Thanks for sharing. But.... at marker 3.18, y'all might want to modify that banner to read: "Intro to Jupyter Notebook" --- versus "..... Jupiter Note...." ---- a VERY easy mistake we all make. (For me, in the past - I installed jupyter notebook without anaconda, which is a ROYAL pain in the rear from what I know and experienced and what others have experienced. On windows 11)

    • @TMQuest
      @TMQuest 26 дней назад

      Thanks for the heads-up! Unfortunately the banner was added before exporting the video, so to fix this we have to reupload the whole thing and create an entire new video for this. I'll let the mistake stand in homage to the greek god or the planet, whichever deserves it the most :) Jupyter without Anaconda is indeed pretty painful. Glad we're not the only one that found this out the hard way. Y'all have a nice watch!

      @@TMQuest Copy, I hear you. I understand what that would have entailed, just wanted to bring it up. It is bad enough for English speakers to VERY easily make this mistake of misspelling Jupyter Notebook - and I fairly certain it is even tougher for English as a 2nd language speakers.... Good luck. Not a fan of Jupiter the god - mine is Zeus, that's why it is my handle on many sites.... :-}

Unfortunately, I get an error in both of these alternative lines: exp.subs(C1,0).subs(C2,1) exp.subs({C1: 0, C2: 1}) On a repeated run I get a different result each time: C1+1/16, C1+zoo, 1/16 .... After about 5 times I get the correct result. The rest works fine.

One question: When you change at the end of the video the tick in the y-axis, the two plots are not longer aligned to each other (the upper one is more to the left), because one has a 1 digit tick (upper value 9) and the other 2 digit (upper value 10). How can I align them again (with different ticks)? Thank you!

    It was a 9 minute video and I didn't see an evaluation of an expression like f(x) = 2*x+3, solve this function for x (I know how to do in Python symbolically), then evaluate f(x_sol) which was the x we solved for in the previous step. Nvm. After 5 hours I was able to write a function that does what I wanted above. Sorry def starting_x_y_value(expr, x_start, y_start): expr = solve(3*x+4, x) x_start = expr[0] y_start = 3*x_start+4 🤣

    At 3:03, he said he only cares about the year as long as it is over 1985. He means over 1984, or he has to change his code, because he's not going to get what he says with his code.

    • @TMQuest
      @TMQuest 10 месяцев назад

      Thanks for pointing this out. I meant over or equal as you pointed out, but just said over. Sometimes the word "over" in casual language can mean either "strictly over" or "over or equal". When people say "I have over 100 baseball cards", they would mean strictly over. But when saying "I would only date someone over 30 years old", most would interpret this as over or equal. I will try to use more precise phrasings in the future :)

  • @richardbennett4365
    @richardbennett4365 10 месяцев назад

    Thanks, but be careful what you say versus what you typed. The presenter said at 2:25 that the print statement returned all songs "higher" than 1985. The song isn't higher. The date is equal to or greater than 1985 or the songs returned have a date greater than 1984, because he corded >= not >. It is why "Take On Me" is included in the output.

    there's a better namedtuple: from typing import NamedTuple --> inherits namedtuple API (~ C == fast!) but we can set type hints. so we get the speed and type hint.

    • @TMQuest
      @TMQuest 10 месяцев назад

      So as far as I understand, NamedTuple in the typing module is just a type hint for the named tuple in the collections module. Super cool nonetheless. I see that from Python 3.11 they have added support for generic named tuple annotations (docs.python.org/3/library/typing.html). This reminds me a lot of development in e.g. Rust. Thanks for the heads up :)
