When you died you should've just changed zones when you saw you had 5 bandits coming and then keep running. High chance only 1 would follow to the new area. Edit: also you can store some valuables such as gems, earrings etc in your money pouch. And about the coughing villagers and dead animals scattered in the areas around town, you just picked up a quest about the plague :D

I love this game but they should give you the ability to hire pilots that you can save if their ship gets blown up. I like what they did with tech points. I just got back into it haven't got a large ship yet and almost have all the fighters unlocked. Its really good but could use some small tweaks.

Unfortunately, this is a game with a lot of potential, but lacks clear vision. The length of time this game has been in beta suggests the devs had and have a hard time making solid foundations for long-term gameplay for players.

I don't think it's necessary to reinstall the game etc. Maybe just update the game, verify game files, get a new version of the mod and add it (nice and easy if you have Mod Organiser) but I believe you'd need to purge your saves if you change EfZ version. Also I can confirm game version 1.0.10 and EfZ version 1.15a.7 works together. Btw I just checked and there's a new EfZ version: "Turned off armors drop of Green Army, Crimson, Hunters and the Blueberry bois for testing purpose (Hunter Difficulty gonna be a little harder)"... oh crap.
