      @LongsQuest, can you elaborate on the adjustable cambium saver? How does it help save the zigzag?

    • @LongsQuest
      @LongsQuest Месяц назад

      @@bvisbuilds You have been wrapping your lifeline around the stem of the tree. This can cause side loading on the zigzag when it is tight against the tree. If you use an adjustable cambium saver, the C-Saver will be around the tree and your lifeline will go through its rings, 1.) Better grip on the tree, 2.) It also will allow the zigzag to have a straight pull without any side loading. I see lots of people doing it; just do not think it is good. But this is from the guy that uses a life line, flip line, and a positioning line pretty much always. If I’m in a tree and fall to the ground, it is because I rode the tree down. 🤣

      More like when your sectioning down the stem and you're being held up by your Lifeline by pulling it tight up against the tree, it will be putting side pressure on the zigzag. Using the c-saver also will allow a faster decent if you need to get down. Because the c-saver will be whats looped around the tree. I hope that made sense.

    It’s a good set up but if the water ever get lower than the level of the nipples water won’t come out it’s basically half water just setting there the only water that will go is above the nipple. Maybe have the pipe sit higher and where every nipples gonna go put a T and put a PVC pipe down and then put your nipple there where the chickens will drink basically like an L-shaped I can drain for example, that instead of being a valve it’ll be the nipple where they drink.

    • @bvisbuilds
      @bvisbuilds 5 месяцев назад

      Thank you. I realize that once the water gets low enough to not come out of the nipples that it will just be stagnant underneath them. I change the water frequently so when I go to change it, I just open the drain valve, drain out the old water, and put new water in. The system works great.
