Previously I was using a Racetrack VTX, and had a lot of static. I found a Fatshark 250 VTX and a couple of GEN 4 Lolipop antennas. The result was great! Minimal destortion with high altitude and range. Battery life is still about 5 minues. The new runway was a bit difficult to see due to the shadow while busy controlling the plane. My approach should have been better. Next flight soon!

Rebuilt Warhawk after the Hodges Field engine loss. Testing Smoke and Flames.

This flight is a tribute to Spring TTA JOE NALL 2024, whereby this P-51 failed on takeoff. Well, many mis-haps today, and these are the only surviving video combos. Both Go-Pro and Ground Station malfunctioned. Keep in mind flying Warbirds FPV is experimental, as many things can go wrong. Successful flight, but the Ground Station Battery died in mid flight. Camera shake needs attention, but overall a good flight. ND Filter 14 (Slowing Light Filter) on camera gives the prop a few cool variations. One pilot said "We all help each other here", which shows Joe Nall wonderful spirit in aviation.

Another fun flight of Iron Ass, this time at Triple Tree Aerodrome. Vibration is caused by a loose motor mount, again. Have to fix that video static. Oooops, hit the fly by button before landing. The day looked pretty gloom at first, but cleared up nicely. I met a lot of nice pilots. Have fun at Nall, all week, but I had to return home.

Test flying the F80 on a beautiful day at the Triple tree Aerodrome. A bit of static in the video (Have to check that), but a very enjoyable flight while sight-seeing this huge event. Well now, the shaking from my last flight was due to a loose engine mount, but I need new batteries. Fun day at Hilltop. Nice people are in this club, including airline pilots.

One Propeller broke off in mid air. The Props were balanced. I don't know why the Propeller Hub broke. There is no sound because my Ground Stations are old and they just stopped recording sound :( So sad... This P40, LX P-40 Warhawk, has presented several bugs. I will solve the issue, eventually.

Well, almost a take off. The Gear bent when I hit the short grass! Currently installed repaired Gear. Taking off on short grass works fine, but the Gear on this plane was damaged and repaired once before. The Gear I installed this time appears to be strong. We'll get there!

The Motor Bax failed (Defective - Factory screwed up by not using enough glue), ripping right out of the plane, causing a crash. What a terrible design (Motor Box). The Box is 1/8" layered balsa wood. I reglued it and added metal straps with screws to hold it together. New Gear, Props, Decals are on order. All modifications added no weight to the aircraft. Maiden Flight of Blitzworks P-40 Warhawk. Engine Mount came apart on takeoff due to insufficient gluing of the balsa Motor Box. The Motor Box is glued at the factory. not my fault. Now, don't laugh, because I did not know how the P40 would react being this was the first flight. It's not the first time a plane rolled onto the grass before takeoff ;) Too much right rudder to start.
